Beauty Haul For The Day!
I totally did a little tiny bit of shopping today!
It has been a while since I have, so I guess it's okay...
AND 2 of my items were completely free :)
I had two coupons I got in the mail for these free products...
Now if any of your read my previous post on the L'Oreal Sublime Mousse Color, you'd know I was pleased :) About a month ago John Frieda had a survey going on their Facebook, and I completed it, so I got this free!
Also, on Facebook, I entered the free product giveaway thingy, and I got chosen to get a coupon for any new Suave Professionals. I have severely thin, limp hair, so I am trying this one.
These are my new nail polishes :)
Sinful Colors:Black on Black, Claire's: I luv the 80's,
Claire's: Black Crackle, Sally Hansen Crackle: Fuchsia Shock
AND since I got my fake nails off, I decide to try this....
Hope it works :)
Hope you enjoyed my little haul...haha

Carmex coupons and giveaway!
Carmex is showing appreciation to their fans with a little holiday cheer. Click here to see their holiday page, which includes printable coupons for 2 products and a giveaway (their entire collection!) on both Facebook and Twitter.
A friend introduced me to Carmex several years ago and I was amazed at how well it took care of my terminally-chapped lips. I've been trying to make the switch to all-natural petrolatum-free lip balms, but my lips are so bad this winter (and it's not even officially winter yet!) I have once again fallen back on trustworthy Carmex.

Hey guys, today I'm going to do another small post about some great deals I've seen so far this morning. It's a typical Sunday morning for me to devour my favorite drugstore/makeup websites for the new ads, coupons, and deals of the week (Specifically Target/coupons, CVS, Walgreens, ULTA, Sephora, Redplum.com, and Coupons.com). Harmon shopping!
I went to Harmon yesterday on a whim and came out with some great deals! Harmon is a discount drugstore owned by the Bed Bath & Beyond company, which so far only has stores in the CT, NY and NJ area. It's been around here forever and it's one of my favorite places to shop - they are as cheap as mass retailers but have lots of stuff other places don't have!
And as a bonus, they take Bed Bath & Beyond coupons! BB&B sends out coupons by the billions, and my grandma collects them and gives me stacks all the time. They regularly distribute 20% off one item, and $5 off a $15 purchase coupons. They have expiration dates, but no store around here cares if they're expired so you can save them forever. You can use one 20% off per item you buy, and you can stack with manufacturer's coupons!
So, on to my haul!
My biggest surprise was to find that the Secret Soothing Effects deodorant (my favorite kind), regularly priced at $6.99 was on sale for $2.99!! I've never seen it priced so low anywhere, so two of those went in my cart.
Goodstuff Organics, a new sub-brand of Freeman products, had an in-flier coupon for $1.50 any item. I just started using their moisturizer and love it, and found there's a new revitalizing face mask! So I had to try it.
They had the new Lipsmacker naturals lip balm, which Target carries for cheaper, but they don't sell the vanilla flavor. I also had a printable $1 off coupon from their website, so I grabbed one of those.
I also found a bottle of pure glycerin, which is supposedly a great moisturizer. I thought I'd try it to do some DIY skincare or just apply it directly - I read somewhere that it does wonderful things to dry lips.
So I had a $1 off Lipsmacker coupon, the $1.50 flier coupon, and a $5 off $15 coupon (which is better than 20% off if you're spending more than $15 or less than $30). The $5 off coupon evenly distributed across the items on the receipt, except the Goodstuff because I used the $1.50 off Harmon coupon (only one store coupon per item).
So my receipt looked like this:
Secret Deo $6.99 - $4.00 - $1.43 = $1.56
Secret Deo $6.99 - $4.00 - $1.43 = $1.56
Goodstuff mask $6.99 - $1.50 = $5.49
Glycerin $3.49 - $1.67 = $1.82
Lipsmacker $1.99 - $1.00 - $0.47 = $0.52!
The total before sales and coupons would be $26.45, but I spent only $10.95!
The Secret Deo price cut remains active until September 30th, so get it while you can!

Maybelline Haul & First Impressions (Walgreens)
This is an awesome week to stock up on both Maybelline and Revlon products if you need to! They are 40% off at Walgreens, so it's also the perfect time to use any coupons you may have. Redplum.com has printable coupons for $2.00 off any Maybelline foundation or lip product, and both of the Walgreens near me have LE displays that have $1.00 off tearpads for either any Maybelline product or any eyeshadow/eyeliner. I took advantage of both in this haul! I'll go into more detail about how I paid for everything at the end.
(Left to right: Expert Wear eyeshadow trio in Charming Cobalt LE, Color Sensational lip gloss in Shimmering Sands, Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector in Light, Unstoppable eyeliner in Sapphire)
(lid, crease, highlight)
I first saw this trio over in Gianna's post, and then I saw it in person sometime last week. I wasn't really feeling it for it's retail price of $5.99, but with the 40% off deal plus the $1.00 off tearpad coupon on the LE display, I thought just under $3.00 was reasonable. The only complaint I have about this trio is the pigmentation. It's not terrible, but it's not fabulous, either.
I'm excited to wear this lip gloss. It's a pretty, shimmery nude color, and my guess is that it isn't too pigmented. It will probably be a good one to keep in my purse- goes with everything, easy to apply.
The Unstoppable eyeliners have become an underrated favorite of mine. I have another in the color Jade, which is a deep forest green. They really do stay put but you can easily smudge them if you're going for that kind of look. Sapphire is a not-quite navy blue; I'd say it's a touch brighter than what I'd define as "navy". Different than what I was expecting, but still nice nonetheless.
Double Face Perfector concealer/highlighter in Light:
!! This is the one I was most excited for. I know Jamie has raved about this duo, so I've been waiting for a good sale to go out and try it for myself! I tried it out just a bit ago and the concealer is really pigmented and covers all my imperfections. I hope I still like it after using it awhile.
Here is the breakdown of how much everything cost me before tax, including the 40% discount and coupons:
-lip gloss: $3.89 ($2.00 off any Maybelline lip color from Redplum.com)= $1.89
-concealer/highlighter: $5.87 ($1.00 off any Maybelline cosmetic tear pad coupon from LE display)= $4.87
-eyeliner: $4.79
-eyeshadow trio: $3.59 ($1.00 off any Maybelline eyeshadow/eyeliner tear pad coupon from LE display)= $2.59
Total: $14.14
Chicago has 9.75% so obviously I had to pay that, but it was only a little over a dollar.
I still have my $2.00 any Maybelline foundation coupon waiting to be used. Any recommendations? Anything else I need to try? Or if there's anything here that I bought today that you love, definitely leave a comment and let me know! I love hearing what you guys like/dislike.
Have a great day!

Shop Rite grocery shopping!
I don't usually shop at Shop Rite, as we don't have one in town, but there were so many good deals this week, we had to go and stock up!
The deals I got:
Ronzoni Pasta on sale for $0.67
used $0.55/1 Ronzoni Printable (needed to use zip code 90201 to find it)
Shop Rite doubles coupons, so I got $1.10 off, which means free with $0.43 overage!
Pillsbury Grands Biscuits on sale for $0.99 (limit 4 per variety)
This also applied to the Simply biscuits, which have no trans fat and pretty good ingredients
Bought 4 Grands and 4 Simply = $7.92
used 2 $1/2 Grands printable coupons
used 2 $0.35 off Simply biscuits (Sunday paper) doubled to $.70 off each
used 1 $0.30 off Cellfire coupon
Total $4.22 for 8, or $0.53 a piece
Received a $3 off your next order coupon at the register for buying 6 - which I used to get a free gallon of ice cream ;)
[I found these first two deals on Living Rich With Coupons! Check them out for the full list of other great deals this week.]
I was pretty excited about the Grands deal because they're usually $2.50 a piece at Stop & Shop (my local grocery), and they don't even have the Simply ones!
Other deals I discovered:
Ronzoni Smart Balance pasta 3/$5
used 3 $1/1 coupons (from various Sunday papers and magazines)
Total $2 for 3, or $0.66 each!
Skippy Natural Peanut Butter on sale for 2/$4
used 2 $0.50/1 Skippy Natural printable coupons which doubled to $1 off each
Total $2 for 2, or $1 each!
Plus, received a free loaf of Shop Rite white bread for purchasing 2 Skippy products!
PLUS! Received a $1 off your next order coupon that printed at the register!
There were also limited store coupons in the weekly paper, I used the following:
- $0.99 for a half gallon of Edy's ice cream (regular price $2.99)
- $4.99 for a 10-pack of Scott paper towels (regular price $13!)
- $0.79 for a big 5 lb. bag of potatoes (on sale for $1.49, regular price ??)
$0.49 Chex Mix!?
This is a crazy good deal, but it's super easy and didn't require much detective work on my part to find.
Here's how to get Chex Mix for less than $0.50!
1. Head over to one of these sites to print off a coupon for $0.50 off 1 bag of 4.5oz or larger bag of Chex Mix (which is basically the standard size bag)
- Coupons.com
- Allyou.com
2. Get yourself over to Walgreens and pick up a bag- they're on sale for $0.99 this week!
3. Take your bag to the cash register, hand the cashier your coupon, and dig in your pocket for two quarters.
And there you go!
Being a college student on a tight budget, I'm totally stocking up this week. Unfortunately my printer gave me problems so I reached the print limit on Allyou.com (I clicked it too many times), but for anyone else it should work fine. There was another of the same coupon available on Smartsource.com this morning, but it's not showing up for me anymore.
Good luck! Happy Chex Mix!

Quick Rite-Aid Trip
I had some coupons I was itching to use at Rite Aid. Unfortunately, the Rite Aids around me are all pretty small and don’t have a lot of stock, so I was unable to get much of what I was looking for - but I was still able to score a pretty great deal!
What I was most looking forward to was the Wet n Wild sale they have going on this week: buy one get one free. I never really thought much of W&W (sometimes cheap is too cheap?) until they started releasing natural items. Their talc-free Natural Blend (formerly Natural Wear) powder is now my favorite powder in the world, and I go through about one compact a month! So I was glad to have a chance to stock up.
Bringing my total to $6.98. I really just bought the nail polish as a filler to be able to use the coupon, because the .99c items (like their eyeliner pencils) wouldn’t quite make $6, so I went over a little.
The Gain dish soap was also a freebie. There was a coupon in the Sunday paper for $1.00 off any Gain, and it was on sale for 89c this week, so I paid nothing!
Price paid: $4.98!

On top of the B1G1 free sale, I had a $2 off $6 W&W coupon from the August Rite Aid Video Values website (where you watch short commercials and get coupons in return).
So I got:
- 1 Natural Blend powder at $4.99 and got a second free
- 1 nail polish at $1.99 and got a second free

After the coupon, the total was $4.98. So I basically got all those items for the price of one powder!

End-of-month Walgreen's trip
The August Walgreen's coupons expired Saturday, so I headed over for a last-minute shopping trip to use them up!
I wasn't very organized about it, and ended up getting some things I didn't need, and didn't get some things I'd intended to, but I think it turned out all right!
What I got:
I think the Burt's Bees face wash was the best deal, since their stuff is pricey and rarely goes on sale. I don't know why it was on clearance (it was the one and only bottle) so I was pretty lucky! :)

Target haul!
Went to Target today and got a lot of freebies :)
Approximate total price of items pictured: $16
Amount paid: $3.19!!
The Air Wick air fresheners (I love these because they're non-aerosol light fragrances!) were on sale for $1.99, and I had a B1G1 free coupon. So the two of them were $1.99, making them less than a dollar each.
The Whiskas cat food trays were 57c, and I used two B1G1 free coupons, paying $1.14 for all four. These are pretty pricey as far as cat food goes, but the kitties love them so it's nice to spoil them every once in a while :D
The Sobe Lifewaters (usually $1 each) I got for free, using a B1G1 free manufacturers coupon in addition to two 50c off Target coupons.
U by Kotex tampons were on clearance for $2.08, so I used one manufacturers $1 off coupon in addition to a Target $1 off coupon, making them 8 cents!
The Post-its were all free using $1 off manufacturers coupons (they're only $1 regularly)
And the Bic pens were 99c each, so I used $1/2 manufacturers stacked with a $1/2 Target coupon, making them free with a 2c overage!
I love shopping trips like these :D
