Review- Sally Hansen Crackle Nail Polish
I was really excited when I found this at Walmart! I had my eyes on the China Glaze and OPI crackle polish but never bought any.
So I bought a Sally Hansen Crackle Polish for $6!
I comes in 8 different shades
I love all the color's and it was so hard to pick just one! So I went with my favorite color Pink.
I was really impressed with this polish, it crackles right away so make sure you get enough polish on, because you don't want to make more then one pass.
I have a light pink for my base, if I had a black or a dark purple I'm sure it would look better.
I really recommend getting this polish, I might even grab more.
The price is perfect! I'm not sure where else you can find it because I have only seen it at walmart for the first time on Tuesday.
If you have tried this polish what do you think of it?

NOTD: Sparkly and "bling-y"?
Yesterday I originally had my nails painted with a duochrome teal polish (Icing nail polish in Peacock), with OPI Silver Shatter layered on my ring finger. I actually really liked it but late last night I was bored and wanted something just... sparkly. So around 1am, I took off the teal and gave myself this ultra bling-y manicure that is really unlike me, haha.
I used an older limited edition Wed n Wild Craze nail polish in Shield, which is one of my most very favorite nail polishes. I have a hard time wearing golds, but this is more of a cool bronze gold that has the right amount of shimmer and fine glitter (side note, I love love these kinds of shades underneath a black shatter! So pretty!). I so wish this was bigger than 0.34oz! Or that it was part of the permanent WnW collection and not LE. >:( Anyway, I topped it with the super glittery Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Disco Ball. If you're looking for a clear nail polish packed with tons of regular glitter, def. get this! :)
Wet n Wild Shield, Sally Hansen Disco Ball
See the glitter? I love it!
It was kind of hard to capture the blingyness (not a real word, ha) without the flash washing it out- unfortunately we're having the ugliest weather today with lots of rain and thunder! But I hope you can still get an idea of how it looks! This would definitely be better suited for a night out, but I don't really care. ;)
What's on your nails?

And the shatter/crackle nail polish obsession begins..
Ever since buying OPI Silver Shatter last week, I've made a habit of staring at my nails for long periods of time. This developed into a minor obsession with everything shatter nail polish (I mean, the beginning of an obsession). My boyfriend has since heard all about the different shatters I've seen online- he moved me home last weekend and was here this week- so last night, he suggested we go over to Walgreens and see if the Sally Hansen crackles were available. Before I continue, I have to mention how adorable he is about my love affair with makeup/nails. He always shows what seems like genuine interest in my nails (I'm sure he could care less but he sure acts like he cares when I change them!) and wants to see them. I've always been a little shy/embarrassed about having makeup as a hobby, but it's great that he doesn't see it as a silly thing. Anyway, I just thought it was the sweetest thing that he was more than willing to go look at nail polish with me last night, haha. This whole shatter nail polish craze has gotten me back "into" nail polish- and I'm so glad!
So my Walgreens had the new Sally Hansen crackle overcoat nail polish display, and originally I picked up Antiqued Gold. I actually got home and realized that I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, so today I returned it for Ink Splatter, which is a plain black. I decided to try it with a few different shades:

Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat in Ink Splatter
Thumb- Hard Candy Sky (pale blue with faint micro shimmer)
Index- Icing Mint 2 Be (pale mint- leans green)
Middle- ELF Moonlight (metallic silvery beige)
Ring- Revlon Lilac Pastelle (light lilac- leans pink)
Pinky- Wet 'n' Wild Shield (Craze LE- metallic shimmery antique gold)
Before last night, I totally wasn't sold on the idea of a black shatter. I didn't look twice at OPI Black Shatter. I'm definitely in love with this one, though. It works on so many colors!
The brush is really thin making it a little difficult to apply, but the formula is thin enough that it's workable. Sally Hansen Antiqued Gold was thicker and was definitely tougher to apply than Ink Splatter. I'm still trying to get the hang of applying shatters- they're tricky! I think I did my pinky the best in the swatches above, but thankfully this finish is pretty forgiving.
Anyway, have you tried these new drugstore crackle polishes?

Beauty Haul For The Day!
I totally did a little tiny bit of shopping today!
It has been a while since I have, so I guess it's okay...
AND 2 of my items were completely free :)
I had two coupons I got in the mail for these free products...
Now if any of your read my previous post on the L'Oreal Sublime Mousse Color, you'd know I was pleased :) About a month ago John Frieda had a survey going on their Facebook, and I completed it, so I got this free!
Also, on Facebook, I entered the free product giveaway thingy, and I got chosen to get a coupon for any new Suave Professionals. I have severely thin, limp hair, so I am trying this one.
These are my new nail polishes :)

Claire's: Black Crackle, Sally Hansen Crackle: Fuchsia Shock
AND since I got my fake nails off, I decide to try this....
Hope it works :)
Hope you enjoyed my little haul...haha

Mermaid nails with a hidden treasure ;)
I've rediscovered my love for Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, guys. I wore it maybe twice last summer (right after I found it by its lonesome on an empty display in Walgreens, haha- after searching for MONTHS) because I could never get the dang thing off! I thought it was the polish back then, but just realized the other day that it was most likely a bad nail polish remover. Last week I was wearing Hidden Treasure over Sinful Colors Nirvana, a muted chocolate brown, and it was a whole lot of gorgeousness.
My pictures of this are kind of bad, but:
After that experiment, and figuring out that it's not that hard to remove using a better polish remover, I tried it out over another polish! This time it's Sinful Colors Mint Apple:
(Click to enlarge pictures for more detail!)
Hidden Treasure has always been hard for me to capture in pictures- the flakiness doesn't translate as beautifully as it looks in person. The picture above on the left isn't color accurate, but it showed the cool effects of Hidden Treasure best.
It kind of reminds me of a mermaid, or something under the ocean! I like it, and totally makes me excited for summer. (It would make me excited for spring if we actually had it as a season this year... lol)
What are you guys wearing on your nails right now?

NOTD: Sally Hansen Flirt+Disco Ball
ULTA has a lot of good deals on nail polish this week! And not just Sally Hansen, however the Complete Salon Manicures are 2 for $10, Insta-Dri 2 for $6, and these Xtreme Wears are 2 for $3. Um, I had to get some! I really wanted a fun layering color and something dark and vampy, so I went with Disco Ball and Flirt. I decided to layer them- I think I'm liking the effect, although I have to admit this pairing is so not me. Vampy colors aren't even me, typically, but I forced myself out of my comfort zone. :)
It's hard to see the true color of Flirt with the shimmery Disco Ball over it, and in my pictures it shows up almost black. It's really a deep burgundy with the tiniest shimmers in it- you can barely tell they're there, but they keep it from being just a plain creme. And can you see the prettiness that is Disco Ball? The glitters in it almost show up blue/green over Flirt. It's really fun and the clear base means you can put it over any color for a fun, sparkly manicure. Love it!
Edit-
I completely forgot to add that this manicure is two coats of Flirt, the burgundy shade, topped with one coat of Disco Ball. They apply just as flawlessly as my other Xtreme Wear polishes (With exception of Mystic Lilac which I found to be a little "gloppy" and thick, but still workable) and are opaque with two coats.
Have you guys taken advantage of that great nail polish deal at ULTA? Do you have any of these colors?

NOTD: Sally Hansen Mystic Lilac
I finally found it- the LE Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail polish display with the highly talked-about Mystic Lilac! I also thought Purple Fiesta looked nice (from the same display), but I mustered up my willpower and went with the one I wanted most. (Sidenote: Mystic Lilac probably wouldn't have appealed to me from the bottle had I not heard the hype!)
Anyway, I'm happy I did end up getting this. It's very unique!

(Please enlarge my pictures for a better shot of how the polish actually looks. Blogger makes these look so bad!)
Mystic Lilac is like a muted purple-grey polish with green-blue micro-shimmer. I'm terrible at describing polishes as you can tell, lol! Sorry about that. I'm typically not in love with these "muddy" looking colors, but this one is saved by the micro-shimmer.
I don't totally see the hype, but I do still like the color! It's very cool even if it doesn't enter into favorite-status for me. And I don't have anything quite like it which is what I always look for.
See all the pretty shimmer?
Do you guys like this color? Have you tried any of the other colors from this LE collection? I'm hoping to snag a few more if they go on sale (if possible)- that'd be awesome!

I Found It! Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure
You guys, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Hidden Treasure really suits its name. Don't you think? It's definitely a hidden treasure in my opinion. It was always sold out at my Walgreens when the LE collection was available. The first time I saw it in person was a few months ago at Walmart, although I didn't buy it because I was really tight on money and spending $7 on a nail polish still felt like too much. However, after that, I knew that if I saw it again I needed to buy it. Pictures of it online just looked too beautiful not to!
So when I found it today at Walgreens, I snatched it up. It was just sitting there by itself on the shelf next to the Revlon Just Add Sparkle LE collection. I used my $.50/1 Sally Hansen nail polish coupon from Redplum which helped a little, too.
Time for pictures!
This one really is ridiculously hard to capture in pictures- I know people had said that, but I didn't realize how true it was!
I swatched this over five nail polishes: Rimmel Violet Metal (thumb), ELF Innocent (pointer), ELF Moonlight (middle), Wet 'n' Wild Through the Grapevine (ring), Revlon Lilac Pastelle (pinky).

I'm really glad I just got this. I kept telling myself I did "need" it because it would be too "flashy", but it's really not. And I can't wait to pair this over a nude nail polish- it'd be the perfect way to make nude nails more interesting!
I'm sure a lot of you own this already- how do you like it?

NOTD: Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
FYI before I start this post: I'm planning on doing a review of my Victoria's Secret eyeshadow primer very soon (Either tonight or tomorrow morning). I'm doing an "official" testing of it today. I've used it ever since I got it a few weeks ago, but for one reason or another I keep forgetting to take pictures or something (Like my eye makeup won't be "right" for showing pictures in a review). Expect that soon, though!
So, this is a long-overdue NOTD featuring my Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish in Pacific Blue. I got this along with the color Wet Cement a few weeks ago, when Walgreens had these 2/$4. I was too "afraid" to wear this one! It's a pretty bright blue, at least for me, but it's seriously gorgeous. The formula is also just phenomenal- especially for being $2 on sale!

I did this manicure with only one coat. Can you believe that? It goes completely opaque with one. I would have done another just for kicks, but my boyfriend called me and I got distracted. ;)
Just like my past experiences with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear, this color applied and lasts like a dream. I forget exactly how long Wet Cement lasted on me when I wore it, but I know it was at least several days before I saw chipping.
If you love bright, fun colors, I think you'll love this entire line!

NOTD: Sally Hansen Wet Cement & Pacific Blue pictures
Thankfully I was able to return the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail polishes I mentioned in this post, and get two others that actually flattered my skin tone (They were Sun Kissed and Green With Envy). I'm a little sad they didn't work out, though, because I hoped I could pull off those crazy colors. They just looked 'blah' on me. But it's ok- I found these two colors and I'm really happy with them!
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue & Wet Cement:
I wasn't feeling quite 'vibrant' enough today to wear Pacific Blue, so I used Wet Cement for my manicure. I'm so happy the Walgreens I went to had this one in stock! I've been to a few, and none of them had it (The one I live around the corner from hasn't had it in ages). This is a color I like much better on my nails than in the bottle. I was even afraid I wouldn't like it, but I really do. It's a medium gray with slight blue undertones that I don't have any of in my collection.
Both Wet Cement and Pacific Blue are cremes and apply like a dream. Wet Cement needed two coats, and I suspect I could get away with only one coat of Pacific Blue.
What are your favorite nail polishes? Are any of them Sally Hansen? I want to try some of the Insta-Dri polishes- the colors in that collection are much more me!
