Beauty Haul For The Day!

I totally did a little tiny bit of shopping today!
It has been a while since I have, so I guess it's okay...
AND 2 of my items were completely free :)

I had two coupons I got in the mail for these free products...

Now if any of your read my previous post on the L'Oreal Sublime Mousse Color, you'd know I was pleased :) About a month ago John Frieda had a survey going on their Facebook, and I completed it, so I got this free!

Also, on Facebook, I entered the free product giveaway thingy, and I got chosen to get a coupon for any new Suave Professionals. I have severely thin, limp hair, so I am trying this one.

These are my new nail polishes :)

Sinful Colors:Black on Black, Claire's: I luv the 80's,
Claire's: Black Crackle, Sally Hansen Crackle: Fuchsia Shock

AND since I got my fake nails off, I decide to try this....

Hope it works :)

Hope you enjoyed my little haul...haha

Mermaid nails with a hidden treasure ;)

I've rediscovered my love for Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, guys.  I wore it maybe twice last summer (right after I found it by its lonesome on an empty display in Walgreens, haha- after searching for MONTHS) because I could never get the dang thing off!  I thought it was the polish back then, but just realized the other day that it was most likely a bad nail polish remover.  Last week I was wearing Hidden Treasure over Sinful Colors Nirvana, a muted chocolate brown, and it was a whole lot of gorgeousness.

My pictures of this are kind of bad, but:

After that experiment, and figuring out that it's not that hard to remove using a better polish remover, I tried it out over another polish!  This time it's Sinful Colors Mint Apple:

(Click to enlarge pictures for more detail!)

Hidden Treasure has always been hard for me to capture in pictures- the flakiness doesn't translate as beautifully as it looks in person.  The picture above on the left isn't color accurate, but it showed the cool effects of Hidden Treasure best.
It kind of reminds me of a mermaid, or something under the ocean!  I like it, and totally makes me excited for summer.  (It would make me excited for spring if we actually had it as a season this year... lol)

What are you guys wearing on your nails right now?

Sinful Colors=HOT PINK Toes!

Now normally I go to the salon and get a pedicure but money is a tad bit tight right now so I decided to paint them myself last night!

I used the Sinful Colors Professional #920 (It doesn't have a name on the bottle?) But It's a hot pink! Totally perfect for warm weather! I love wearing neon colors in the summer!

And that is my favorite base coat next to it!

I am on the hunt for a neon blue, got any brands to let me know about?

Collective 'Haul': Random Goodies- Updated

Update:
So, I had a chance to try out the: Covergirl & ELF quads and B&BW Dark Kiss.  I am in LOVE with Dark Kiss- it smells so "expensive" and dark and mysterious!  The Covergirl quad is so pigmented!  I'm really impressed with this.  And lastly, the ELF quad isn't too pigmented like I said towards the end of this post, but it makes a really pretty neutral eye with a nice shading in the crease (Using the dark mauve color).  I'll try to do an EOTD soon with both of these.
-------------

I haven't done much heavy makeup buying the last week or two, but these are some random things I've purchased.  I keep going into Target or Walmart or wherever I am and only buying one little thing.  There hasn't been too much drugstore makeup that's screamed for my attention!

Top: Victoria's Secret Secret Garden hand & body creams in Luscious Kisses and Sweet Surrender
Middle: Maybelline single eyeshadow in Amethyst, Bath & Body Works lotion in Dark Kiss, ELF eyeshadow quad in Matte Mauve, Sinful Colors nail polish in Fiji
Bottom: Covergirl eyeshadow quad in Tropical Fusion

The VS hand & body creams I have wanted for so long!  Luscious Kisses has valencia orange, coconut and tonka bean; Sweet Surrender smells like jojoba butter.
This Maybelline Amethyst eyeshadow is a really pretty purple.  If you have green or brown eyes, I think this would look gorgeous on you!  The pigmentation is also really nice.
Dark Kiss is the new scent from Bath & Body Works, so like with all their new scents, you can "preview" it in a travel size.  This is the $1 lotion.  It has black raspberry, plum, amber, vanilla bean, and balsam.  Very fall/winter.
This ELF Matte Mauve eyeshadow quad I've wanted from the website for a long time, but just never got.  I found it at my local Dollar Tree today!  They have a bunch of other ELF items, along with some Max Factor eyeshadows, Almay Pure Blends eyeshadows and lipglosses, and other new things.
Sinful Colors is on sale at Walgreens this week for $.99.  I picked up the color Fiji and really like it so far!
Lastly is the Covergirl eyeshadow quad Tropical Fusion.  I stayed away from this because of my past experiences with poorly pigmented Covergirl single eyeshadows.  However, this one was just calling my name so I decided to try it.  Look how pigmented it is- at least for being Covergirl!
Obviously it's not crazy-pigmented, but for what I expected, it performed great.  I can't wait to try this on my eyes.
Swatches of Maybelline Amethyst and ELF Matte Mauve:

The lowest performer in this group is definitely the ELF quad.  I thought this would be just as nice as my other quads, but it just failed in comparison.

I'd highly recommend the VS Sweet Surrender hand cream.  Actually, any of the three in this collection are really moisturizing and light (There's one with cocoa butter and one with shea).

Thanks for reading!  And thanks also for bearing with my random posts.  I know I said to expect normal posting to resume, but my sister was here and we were spending every last minute together.

Tomorrow I get my wisdom teeth out, so as long as I'm awake and not feeling terrible, I should have lots of time to post.  :)

NOTD: Sinful Colors in San Francisco Show Me The Way

I have to admit, I'm not one to wear particularly "bold" nail polish colors.  The closest I get to bold is usually either coral or plum (Or my more recent favorite, darker minty greens like Sinful Colors' Mint Apple).  So, you can imagine my hesitancy to wear a color like San Francisco Show Me The Way on my nails!

While it's both VERY green and shimmery, I think I'm warming up to it.  I loathe forest greens, and this has enough yellow in it that it doesn't venture into that territory.

I also found that it looks pretty cool with my work "uniform"- we're required to wear all black.  I think that's been the main inspiration for my desire to wear poppy nail polish colors.  :)

Definitely expect more Sinful Colors NOTD's in the future; Walgreens has had them BOGO1/2off, and I still have You Just Wait to try out.
Yay for nail polish, haha.  :)

(Sorry for the mislabel!  I thought this was San Francisco, but my bottle's sticker was wrong.  I was wondering why all the images I had seen of the real San Francisco looked so much deeper!  Haha, this is really Show Me The Way)

Small Walgreens Haul

After a long week of work and the wrapping-up of school, I decided I needed a little trip to Walgreens to treat myself.  The one close to my house usually starts the Sunday deals on Saturdays (A day early), and today was no different!  This next week, brands like Rimmel, Wet 'N Wild, Covergirl, and Revlon all have BOGO 50%  sales on all cosmetics.  And today I was able to take advantage of the BOGO 50% off sale on Sinful Colors nail polish, as well.  Awesome!  Here's what I got:

Wet 'n' Wild ColorIcon blush in Mellow Wine

Wet 'n' Wild ColorIcon eyeshadow in Knock On Wood

Sinful Colors nail polishes in (Left to right) Mint Apple, Vacation Time, San Francisco, and You Just Wait

Both the WnW products retail at $2.99, so with the BOGO sale I paid $2.99 for one, and $1.50 for the other.  The Sinful Colors polishes were to $1.99 for one, $.99 for the other, so together it was a pretty good deal.

I'll be reviewing both the blush and eyeshadows as soon as I get a chance to try them out.  Hope you're having a great Saturday night!
