Lancome is doing a little do-gooding by hosting "Genes Day" on October 22nd. For every sale of their Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate ($78) on the 22nd, Lancome will donate $7 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. For those not willing to pony up the cash, they're also giving out 7-day samples of the product that day at counters across the country.
In honor of this new holiday, beauty site Total Beauty is giving away the serum to 10 lucky readers! All you need to do is leave a comment on the giveaway post on their Facebook page.
I recently - accidentally - received a bottle of this stuff because of a mixup of my father's (Lancome is one of his clients and he occasionally gets freebies of the cheap variety - lip glosses and such - but grabbed the wrong box, which was a nice bonus for me, heh heh). I couldn't ever rationalize paying so much for a skincare product, but you can bet I was curious to see how a $78 face cream feels! It is a nice product, but I haven't used it long enough to see if it actually lives up to its claims. Either way, it's worth stopping by a Lancome store on the 22nd to try it out!
