How can CSNstores help me get my home office organized? Upcoming review

My desk is filled with press releases, coupons, business cards, and some of my own personal filings. I look at my sad desk and think, "well old friend you've served me well but how long can you make it?"

My desk serves it's purpose that's for sure. It's actually a hand-me-down from when my husband got himself a huge corner desk. So it's missing a knob on the one drawer, that's ok. There's an awesome drawer in the bottom to put hanging files to organize. That's great...except that it's obviously missing a piece somewhere. I've bought several sizes of hanging files and have yet to find one that fits the metal bars. I think perhaps it's missing a bar.

Then there's the stains on the desk and deep nicks in the faux wood. I never did like light colors in a house with three boys.

I'm glad I found CSN stores. I love to window shop and of course buy when there's something I really want. My husband and I have been slowly making improvements to our house since we bought it. First it was the wiring, then waterproofed the basement, then insulation, then we gutted the attic. Why did we gut the attic? Our plan is to turn it into a Master Bedroom. I go up there now and it doesn't look like much just some open walls with new insulation. I sometimes dream about what I'd like it to look like. What kind of windows will we put in, what colors do I want the walls, etc.

I was browsing through CSN Stores and decided to check out their bedroom furniture sets.  What fun it is to think how things will fit into the room.  What I'd love to have.  What will fit into our budget.  I tend to lean towards contemporary looks.  And if it has more than one function (for instance a head board that also has storage shelves).

I kinda like these set:

I like that it has the shelves on the head board and I kinda like the color.  It's contemporary looking to me.  Or then there's this one:

I like the Atlantic Furniture Bedroom Set because again of the contemporary look but also the storage drawers under the bed.   A gal can never have enough clothes storage, right?  But while we're talking about drawers underneath look at the storage space on this one:

Actually this one would probably be the most compact and comfortable for the room.  But while I'm dreaming, If money was of no object and space was not an issue, I like this set:

As I've mentioned in an earlier post I have a review for CSNstores.com

I was so excited to have been offered a chance to review  CSNstores.com  I received a $40 gift certificate for whatever I wanted on the site. The choices were so overwhelming.  Needs/wants/gifts what should I choose? 

There were several things I needed for the house.  I was deciding between these items.

1.  Using my gc toward this vent fan for the bathroom.  We have a tiny bathroom and only 1 full bathroom so 5 people  using that one bathroom.  Yea, we need an exhaust fan in there.

2.  A new 2 Qt saucepan.  Preferably Calphalon if it wasn't too much. The one I did have was very old.  I used it for candle making so I can't reuse it.  Found this 2 qt Calphalon saucepan that I liked:

3.  I also considered using it towards a toy box for the babies toys downstairs.  We wanted something contemporary and that could be used for other things once he grows out of it.  We found this one on csnstores.com

So what did I end up choosing?  I decided to go with the 2 Quart Calphalon pan.   Oh it's so shiny! lol

And then the craziest thing happened. I won another $40 gc in a blog giveaway so I ended up using that one toward the toy box.   As I said, we wanted something traditional.  Also, we wanted to be able to use it for other things in the future when our baby outgrew the toy box.  We read the reviews (all positive) on this particular one.  We wanted to make sure it was going to be able to hold at least a majority of his toys. This toy box is a nice size and looks good in our dining room.  This item was also FREE SHIPPING!

We started putting some toys in.  It's pretty deep.  It's hard to tell in this pic but there are plenty more toys that will fit in here.

I know some of you have seen information lately about CSNstores.com. I decided to check them out. Looking through CSNstores.com I saw an array of products. Just about anything you might be looking for, for you home like lights for instance.  My husband and I are always looking for cost effective ways to improve our home,  lights are an easy and cost effective way to increase the look and warmth of the inside or outside  of your home. When adding outdoor lights it can also increase the safety of the outside of your home.  Walkways are more visible.  You're able to see who's is coming toward your house.  Your children can play in the backyard just a little longer with a good flood light.  Set the ambiance of your outdoor pond or garden with accent lights. There's a lot of things that adding lighting to your home can do.  They don't have to be expensive to serve the purpose.
