Homemade Brush Guard
I saw some makeup brush guards advertised on coastalscents.com a few months ago and
thought that they were a great idea. However, I really only needed two for my powder brushes and didn't want to pay for shipping on a $5 item. So I came up with an alternative. I already had some yarn sleeves that were meant for very small skeins of yarn. These can be purchased at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and other craft stores. I used the smallest size, cut it in half, and they made a perfect, low cost alternative and still keep my brushes as good as new!
Here is a site where you can purchase yarn sleeves or just take a closer look to see what I mean.
