I went to Target to look at the Nicole by OPI exclusive shades and I didn't care for any of them.

Then I came across a CLEARANCE endcap :)

Made me smile!!

All this stuff for $2.25 - Target holiday clearance!

This past Sunday I hit up Target for their 75% off holiday clearance. I'm sure by now it's at 90%, but I doubt there's much left either. There was NO candy left at all, they were completely wiped out! There was a fair amount of decorations and Christmassy things left, but I stuck to the $1 bins, where all the pink dot items were 75% off too!

So I got everything in the above photo for 25c a piece - only $2.25 for everything! I got 3 Hello Kitty notepads, 2 clutch/wallet thingies, 2 folding brushes, a 2011 planner, and Mountain Dew Code Red lip balm. Of course, nothing was really necessary, but splurges that cost so little are always welcome in my book!

End-of-month Walgreen's trip

The August Walgreen's coupons expired Saturday, so I headed over for a last-minute shopping trip to use them up!

I wasn't very organized about it, and ended up getting some things I didn't need, and didn't get some things I'd intended to, but I think it turned out all right!

What I got:

• Bubble mailers - $1.99, on sale for 39c (limit 3) 5.97 $1.17!
• Pilot Frixion erasable pens - $3.99 on sale for $3.49 minus $2 in coupons: $1.49!
• Uniball gel pens - $4.19 on sale for $2.49 minus $1.50 coupon: $0.99!
• Burt's Bees Acne Solutions face wash - usually $9.99 on clearance for $4.99 minus $2.00 coupon $2.99!
• [Not pictured] Walgreen's brand bleach 96 oz- not sure of usual price, on sale for $0.99, bought two $1.98

If I had paid for everything at regular price, it would have been over $24, but I spent a grand total of $8.62! Pretty boring stuff, I know, but all useful. I use the bubble mailers like crazy for mailing out books and other things I swap, and they're usually expensive! Both kinds of pens are super awesome, both brands are actually Japanese (did you know Pilot and Uniball were Japanese companies? I didn't until recently) and I had used the pens in Japan and loved them. And I donate the bleach to the animal shelter I volunteer at - it was number one last week on their most-needed list of supplies!

I think the Burt's Bees face wash was the best deal, since their stuff is pricey and rarely goes on sale. I don't know why it was on clearance (it was the one and only bottle) so I was pretty lucky! :)

Super cheap Target find!

I got lucky at Target today to find this Colgate Pro Clinical toothpaste on clearance from $2.99 to $1.48!

I think it was on clearance because of the box is a little beat up, it was right on the shelf with the rest of them, which weren't discounted. I have been hanging on to a $1 off manufacturers coupon for this, so I finally got to put it to good use - the toothpaste cost me only .48c!

Of course, I was so excited about getting the deal that I didn't check the ingredients until I got home. I'm disappointed to see it includes sucralose as a sweetener. I avoid artificial sweeteners in my food, and don't like the current trend of adding it to other products as well... is it really necessary? It's in the mouthwash I use too. I guess it's not as bad as ingesting it, but still...

Bath and Body Works sale!

Clearance alert for Rite Aid

I don't know if it's just my local Rite Aid or if other stores are doing it but....I Stopped at Rite aid on the way home to pick up something I needed.  I walk in the door and right by the registers they had a cardboard display table with "Clearance 50% off" banner around it.  On the table and onto the floor were mega packs of Huggies diapers both the supreme and snug n dry as well as Rite Aid brand diapers.  Got 2 mega packs of size 4 diapers (52 count snug n'dry ) for $8.99 a piece.  That's pretty good considering even Walmart has the smaller packs (31 count snug n' dry size 4) for that much.   So it may be worth it to stop by your local Rite Aid to see if they have the same clearance.

Your Most Triumphant Outlet Shopping Story

As you all know, I love a good bargain, good sale, outlet shopping etc.  I driving my way down south and happened to notice an outlet mall in Hagerstown, MD.  I stopped.  They had a lot of great stores.  I enjoyed the landscaping of the outlets outside.   It was a beautiful day I remember.

I came across a Children's Place outlet.  You might know from a previous post that I love Children's Place. I go in and wouldn't you know, they had an end of season clearance going on.  I had just had my first son.  I love buying baby clothes. I came across this clearance rack with baby clothes labeled for crazy amounts like $1, $2, $3, and so on. I couldn't believe it.  I stocked up. I got several pieces including dress pants for my son, t-shirts, even a pair of snow pants.  I must have had at least 10 pieces of clothing from him.

The girl at the register starts ringing me up.  Until it was all said and done, my total, $22.  Yes my friends, that's the way I like to shop!  With a feeling of accomplishment for spending so little and providing some nice clothes for my son, I was back on my road trip.

What good buy did i get today?!

As I've mentioned in a previous post I love going to the after the season/ after holiday sales. This is what I got today:

Gymboree: Spent only $23 dollars and got a pair of navy blue corduroy overalls size 18-24 mo, A long sleeve 1 piece romper size 12-18 mo, a pair of camo shorts size 12-18 mo, and since the prices were so good I picked up a pair of sparkly seashell sunglass, a cute sun bonnet with strawberries and other fruits on it and matching sock for my neice (in bigger sizes so it fits her for the summer). Yes all of that for $23. My baby is in 6-9 mo clothes now but was shopping to supply for the near future.

Bath and Body Works: Love bath and body works semi-annual sale after christmas. Got me 2 of the lotion antibac hand soaps, a new loofah, and 2 room sprays for $15. If you have never tried the bath and body works room sprays go stock up on them now. They are normally $5 a peice but they have them 50% off. The bottles look small but they last a long time. It sprays a controled spritz and the one spritz is enough to scent the whole room. It's great to keep in the bathroom. I got a stress relieving Eucalyptus and spearmint which smells amazing and a Fireside which also has a nice winter scent to it.
