Bath & Body Works Hello Yellow sale haul!

Okay, I couldn't resist - as much as I didn't need ANYTHING from Bath & Body Works, I had to go check out their Hello Yellow sale.

The only thing I really wanted to get was the Black Amethyst eau de toilette, but the Signature Collection stuff was B3G2 - not that great a deal, as I'd still have to pay the retail $29.50, plus extra things I didn't necessarily want. So I think it was a personal gift from the shopping gods when I found a lonely box in the way back on the 75% off table! It was the old (and pretty ugly) bottle design, before the revamp of the Signature Collection, but the scent is the same! Best thing - it was only $7.37!

Select scents of the Pocket Bac hand sanitizers were 8 for $5. I'm addicted to these things, so I snapped up a bunch, as well as a holder for only $0.25! I also picked up three bottles of hand soap in some yummy flavors, as they were only $1.25 a bottle (down from $5).

Finally, I had a coupon for a free travel sized item with purchase, so I got a cute Dark Kiss body spray (regularly $5) for free.

My grand total was only $16.37 for almost $80 worth of stuff!

Bath & Body Works' "Hello Yellow" Semi-annual sale starts tomorrow!

Bath & Body Works' semi-annual sale starts tomorrow June 10th! Items are up to 75% off. While some of the deals aren't that fantastic (Signature Collection items were a better deal at B3G3 last week - they're only B3G2 this week) there are still plenty worth checking out, including:

Super shopping at Bath & Body Works!

I hit up Bath & Body Works the other day just to see what the Fragrance Event was all about. Last Saturday you would receive a tote bag and free full-sized bottle of Into the Wild body lotion with any purchase. I didn't plan on buying anything, but my mom wanted to, and we had some coupons. So we ended up walking out with the above haul for only $36 or 70% off!

They were having the usual buy-2-get-1-free or buy-3-get-2-free deal. We had two coupons: $10 off $30, and a free signature collection (up to $12) with any $10 purchase. We were told they weren't stackable, so we were only going to use one, but we ended up buying more than we planned, and each of us checked out separately so we could each use a coupon (and each get a tote bag!).

The breakdown:

Bought 3 signature collection items @ $12 each = $36
Used $10 off $30 coupon = $26
Got two free items ($12 each) due to the B3G2 promo
Got free tote bag ($5) and full-sized body lotion ($10.50)

Total value: $75.50
Total spent: $26

2nd transaction:

Two candles @ 2 for $10 (regularly $9.50 each)
Used free signature collection item coupon ($12)

So in total, we only spent $36 for $122 worth of stuff - 8 body products, 2 candles, and 2 tote bags!

Bath & Body Works' LUV BBW Club - April gift!

This month's LUV BBW Club free gift is your choice of any small-sized (1 to 2 oz) True Blue Spa item. They have products for hand, body and foot, I chose the monoi oil-infused body lotion. These products are normally $6, or 3 for $10. Tomorrow is the last day to pick up your April gift, so be sure to get there if you haven't yet!

New product alert: Bath & Body Works Signature Naturals

With all the promotional email I get from Bath & Body Works, you think they'd mention something about a new line?! I walked into the store today to find a giant display for Signature Naturals! Yes, Bath & Body Works has produced a line of products that is 95% natural!! This is GREAT news because while I love Bath & Body Works' scents, most of their body lotion has parabens in it, and others have mineral oil and petrolatum, which aren't a complete deal breaker but I'd rather avoid petrochemicals.

I asked the manager about it and he said the line just came in this week and they are one of the limited number of stores selected for a trial run - that means it does have the potential to not become a regular line. So of course I had to support their new venture and buy some! They were included in the buy-3-get-2-free or buy-2-get-1-free Signature Collection promotion, and I had a coupon for a free Signature Collection item with a $10 purchase or more. So I ended up getting 4 products (the photo above only shows 3 because I got 2 of the same kind) for the price of 2! They are the same price as the normal SC items, $10.50.

They have three scents available: Fresh Lemon - "a bright citrus blend of fresh hibiscus, sunkissed lemon and orange oil", Lotus Flower & Mango - "a beautiful blend of passionfruit, white lotus and bergamot oil", and White Tea & Lavender - "a fresh blend of tea leaves, lavender petals and mandarin oil". They have body lotion, body wash, and fragrance mist in each of the 3 scents.

Bath & Body Works' March gift for their LUV BBW Club is two mini 1.6 oz candles! You were able to choose any scent available, of which there were so many I had trouble deciding! These are usually $3.50 each or 3 for $5 (although who would buy only 1 when you can get 3 for the price of less than 2?). They have a light, fresh fragrance, enough to scent a room without being overpowering.

I got to the mall on the last possible day to claim February's LUV BWW club gift. This month was a travel-sized body lotion, shower gel, and body spray in your choice of any Signature Collection fragrance. 

I tend to stick with Warm Vanilla Sugar, but I have plenty of those products at the moment so I went for something new. I don't think I'd ever smelled Black Amethyst before - it's SO nice! I'm not a fan of sweet floral scents, and this isn't, it's an exotic scent with a lot of depth to it. I guess B&BW has improved their fragrances a lot - no more sticky sweet overpowering cheap scents. This is truly a sophisticated, sensual fragrance. I'll definitely be using this scent in the future now!

Bath & Body Works' LUV BBW Club - January gift!

LUV BBW Club is a Bath & Body Works promotion. There was a limited sign-up available around Black Friday that I found out about and signed up, a few weeks later I got one of these cards in the mail. They're offering a free gift once a month between January and May - the catch is, you have to go on a Thursday. It's pretty inconvenient to get to the mall on Thursday, and I imagine that's the same with many people, which is probably the whole point of the promo!

Anyway, I managed to get to the mall on a Thursday to claim my free gift! The gift of the month was a hand wash of any kind or flavor ($5), as well as a PocketBac ($1.50) and holder (of the $0.50 variety), for a total gift value of $7!

I chose a moisturizing hand soap in the new scent Caribbean Escape, a sparkly blue PocketBac holder, and a PocketBac in the new "I love cake" scent. I have yet to try the Caribbean Escape soap, but I've anchored the PocketBac on my work tote and have been using it daily! It smells so good! The scent is buttercream, but to me it smells like angel food cake. The scent is pretty strong and leaves your hands scented for a while, which may give you cravings for real cake!

The holder idea is so clever, I feel like I should get more of them (I had my eye on the blinged-out black one, but that was $3 and didn't count towards the promo) although who knows where I'd hang more of them. Either way, I love free stuff and I'm excited to see what next month brings!

Free gift for Bath & Body Works fans this weekend!

Bath & Body Works is releasing a new tropical-themed line - coconut, mango and passionfruit... mmm! This weekend (17th through 19th), they're offering Facebook fans a free sample of one of the three new flavors of body lotion with this printable coupon (or use code FBF103604 when ordering online). You can download the coupon without being a fan, but to be fair you should check out the page and give them a "like".

Bath & Body Works stocking stuffer haul

Mom was looking for some small hand creams for stocking stuffers, so we popped into Bath & Body Works to see what we could find. We ended up with the above pile of goodies for only $20! Here's how it worked out.

The smaller sized items are usually $6 a piece. There were a few promotions running, including buy two get one free for Bliss Spa items (like the "Lay it on Thick" and "Shea it isn't so" in the above photo), but there was also a 3 for $10 promo running on some of the same items. Interesting, as 3 for $10 is obviously better than 3 for $12 (what the B1G1 would have been).

So all of the above items fell into the 3 for $10 promo. We only got 6 items, but then realized we had a $10 off $30 coupon. So why not get 3 more items to bump our total up for $30 and get them for free? We also had a coupon for a free item ($13 or less) with a $10 purchase.

After much debating, we settled on a Twisted Peppermint soap and lotion set for our free item - which was normally $16 but all gift sets were supposed to be 25% off. We were rudely told by the cashier that it was only gift sets in baskets (although the signs were posted everywhere, on sections were there were no baskets in sight), and that didn't count. So we quickly chose a replacement item - the mug filled with vanilla products, which was $12.50.

The total of the items if you paid full price (although I can't see how anyone would!) would have been $66.50, but we walked out with all of them for $20! I am disappointed I left the coupon for a free reindeer Pocketbac in the printer, which would have gotten me another free item, but oh well, maybe next time!

I went to Bath & Body Works today armed with my printable coupon for a free item! I wanted to get the Warm Vanilla Sugar eau de toilette, so I figured it was a good time to buy it. Little did I know there were tons of other deals going on!

The first deal was get a free body lotion with any eau de toilette purchase. I asked an employee if I could use the coupon and also get the free body lotion (so I'd get two things free) and she said yes! But not only that - there was a buy 2 get 1 free sale going on at the same time. So if I bought one more thing, I'd get ANOTHER freebie!

I actually didn't need that much stuff, so my mom got in on the deal. We ended up getting the following:

Vanilla eau de toilette - $26.50
Vanilla body lotion - regular $10.50, free with EDT purchase
Vanilla body cream - regular $12, free with coupon
White Citrus shower cream - $12.00
White Citrus shower gel - regular $10.50, free with B2G1 promotion

We got $33 worth of stuff for freee!

The EDT was a little pricey but it was something I intended to buy so it wasn't like I bought it just to get freebies ;) The employee was actually encouraging my deal-stacking and told me another scenario: if I wanted a second EDT (instead of the shower cream), I would get a second free body lotion and still qualify for the B2G1 deal, so I'd end up paying for 2 items and getting FOUR free! The B2G1 deal also applied to the EDT, if it was the lowest priced item, so you could save a lot if you wanted to stock up on perfume!

What good buy did i get today?!

As I've mentioned in a previous post I love going to the after the season/ after holiday sales. This is what I got today:

Gymboree: Spent only $23 dollars and got a pair of navy blue corduroy overalls size 18-24 mo, A long sleeve 1 piece romper size 12-18 mo, a pair of camo shorts size 12-18 mo, and since the prices were so good I picked up a pair of sparkly seashell sunglass, a cute sun bonnet with strawberries and other fruits on it and matching sock for my neice (in bigger sizes so it fits her for the summer). Yes all of that for $23. My baby is in 6-9 mo clothes now but was shopping to supply for the near future.

Bath and Body Works: Love bath and body works semi-annual sale after christmas. Got me 2 of the lotion antibac hand soaps, a new loofah, and 2 room sprays for $15. If you have never tried the bath and body works room sprays go stock up on them now. They are normally $5 a peice but they have them 50% off. The bottles look small but they last a long time. It sprays a controled spritz and the one spritz is enough to scent the whole room. It's great to keep in the bathroom. I got a stress relieving Eucalyptus and spearmint which smells amazing and a Fireside which also has a nice winter scent to it.
