How I got $50 worth of stuff for free at The Body Shop
Last year when they proposed I join the Love Your Body Club at The Body Shop, I was a little hesitant. It costs $10 a year, and I don't usually pay for rewards cards. But at the time, I was buying a large quantity of stuff, and the 10% discount nearly covered the membership costs. Since then, I've saved a TON of money on my Body Shop shopping sprees and gotten some exclusive deals and freebies too. This was one of those times.
One of the perks is their point system - for every purchase over $20, you get 1 point. For every purchase over $50, you get 2 points. When you make 4 points (which means spending $80~100), you get $15 worth of store credit. When you make 8 points, you get $25 worth of store credit and free membership renewal. I made it to 8 points about 8 months into my membership, and had my $25 sitting there, ready to be spent.
Except I didn't really need anything, so I was holding on to it until the right moment. Well, that right moment came. I received a $5 (off $25) coupon in the mail, so now I had $30 in store credit. Not only that, but this weekend they had a secret LYB members only sale that got you 25% off any purchase of $20 or more - that's in addition to your 10% regular discount! So now I had to go!
I shopped online before I went, because I always seem to get there and blank on what I need. I've tried a couple Tea Tree products and liked them, so I decided I'd get the Tea Tree travel kit ($25) to sample some of the other products, the Tea Tree face mask ($15) and maybe pick up a body butter if I needed something extra.
When I got there, the salesgirl mentioned that for the price of the travel kit, I could get the three full-sized products for the same price! There was a promotion going on (that wasn't advertised very prominently) which discounted the full-sized items!
The breakdown:
Face wash $11
Toner $11
Face lotion $13
Scrub $13
Mask $15
Tea tree oil $9
Original total: $72
Promotion for set of 3 skincare: minus $10
8 point gift: minus $25
$5 off coupon: minus $5
25% off $20 sale: minus $8
10% off LYB discount: minus $2.40
Grand total: $21.60
I could have spent a lot less, but faced with all these cool tea tree items and a discount, I ended up getting more than I planned. But when it came time to check out, I actually stunned the salesgirl into speechlessness. That's right - my couponing skills are so amazing, I even surprise the employees, haha! She said she's never seen anything like that before, although I personally don't think it was that amazing!
Now I have everything I could possibly want from The Body Shop, I think it's time to lay off the shopping for a bit!

Crackle polish looks better in purple.
Recently I was contacted by the lovely people of Born Pretty Store to try out one of their crackle nail polishes. I've read lots of positive things about Born Pretty Store, but never had purchased anything myself. I figured this was a great opportunity to do it, especially with my love for crackle nail polish. :)
Since I already own OPI Silver Shatter and a Sally Hansen black crackle, I decided to venture into the world of color and go with purple! The color you see below is Violet.
Since I already own OPI Silver Shatter and a Sally Hansen black crackle, I decided to venture into the world of color and go with purple! The color you see below is Violet.
Is that not gorgeous or what? For this manicure, I paired it with Sinful Colors Fiji, which is a shimmering deep violet. I thought the colors complemented each other really well! I have on three coats of Fiji, one coat of Violet, and one thin layer of a Revlon quick dry top coat (The Born Pretty Store crackle dries to a matte finish unless you apply a glossy top coat).
Left: Born Pretty Store Violet crackle, Right: Sinful Colors Fiji
If you've ever used a crackle nail polish, you know the formula takes a bit of getting used to- you have to apply it quickly because it dries FAST! You also have to make sure you don't go over the same areas otherwise it messes up the shatter effect. I found that this crackle is a lot easier to work with, though (compared to OPI Silver Shatter). The same rules apply (work fast and efficiently), but the formula is smooth and doesn't dry quite as fast. I also really like how it "cracks" big enough so the polish underneath shines through.
Have you tried any cool color crackle polishes? What about anything from Born Pretty Store? At $5.50/polish with free shipping worldwide, I'm seriously considering buying a few more! I'm obsessed with this trend! :)
And as a special little thing for you guys, Born Pretty Store is giving me a coupon code for 10% off a purchase to share with you. Just use the code below!

ELF deal: $10 voucher for $25
I got an email a couple days ago about Beauty Story joining with Total Beauty to feature various deals. I had no idea I was even on an email list with Beauty Story, haha. Well, today I received an email in my junk mail about today's "daily deal" on Total Beauy- for $10 you can get a voucher for $25 worth of ELF products. I've been waiting for the longest time to make another ELF purchase, and this seemed like the best deal I could get! It doesn't include tax or shipping (which it explains in the "fine print" on the Total Beauty page, that I didn't see until after I purchased!), but it's still a pretty good deal.
According to the website, this deal lasts for 2 more days if you're interested! :)
(Edit: It looks like this is only available to US and Canada- sorry everyone!)
(Note: I'm not affiliated whatsoever with ELF cosmetics.)

Deals & clearance finds at Target!
I was all excited to figure out this sweet deal at Target yesterday all by myself, only to return home and find it posted about on several blogs I read. Oops! Well, the deal was, Target had a printable coupon for $3 off 2 John Frieda products. There was a $3 off Root Awakening by John Frieda coupon from the 5/1 SmartSource paper insert, of which I had two. In total, it would be $9 off two Root Awakening products.
When I got to Target, the Root Awakening products were marked as $7-something a piece, which was still an OK deal with $9 off. But when I got to the register, they rang up as $5.09! They were on price cut but were lacking the signs that said so.
So I paid $1.18 (or $0.59 a bottle) for shampoo and conditioner that's usually $7-something a piece!
These Old Spice body wash sets were on clearance for $2.80, originally $4. The set includes a 16 oz (regular size) bottle and a 8.4 oz half-size one. We had a coupon for buy-one-get-one-free Old Spice body wash, which worked with this set! So we got two sets - two full size and two half sized bottles - for only $2.80. There's only one set shown in the picture because my brother already took the other :)
I also found these e.l.f. makeup sets on clearance. E.l.f. is cheap enough already, most of their products being $1, but it's good quality stuff. These sets were $4.99 for 5 products, but were marked down to $2.50! One set has 3 different color liquid eyeliners and 2 eyeliner pencils (one shimmer and one brightening) with built-in sharpeners, and the other has 4 dual-color eyeshadows and a double-sided eyeliner pencil and eyeshadow brush. I don't know what I'm going to do with so much eyeliner, but I couldn't resist the deal!

Massive savings at The Body Shop!
I went to check out The Body Shop while at the mall the other day. I had my Groupon worth $45 (which I paid $10 for) and was looking for a good deal. I love the Nutriganics moisturizers, but at $24 and $22 a piece, I can only afford to buy them when they're on sale (and then I stock up!).
The sale they were having was a bag deal - there were these very large, high-quality pink canvas bags that would be good for overnight or beach use. I think the theme was the Royal Wedding and being treated like a princess. You bought the bag for $12 and got 30% off everything inside. This probably wouldn't be too good a deal on its own unless you're buying huge quantities of stuff (which I don't need, I just needed to stock up on my Nutriganics!) but Love Your Body members got an additional 20% off that day too. They also included a promo like the ones they sold at Christmas time - you got coupons for free items, one per week. Last time they gave away full-sized products worth over $60 total!
What I got:
Nutriganics day cream - 2 @ $22 each
Nutriganics night cream - 2 @ $24 each
Tea tree makeup remover cloths - $12
Promotional bag - $12
Total price: $116
30% off bag promo: minus $31.20
20% off LYB members: minus $16.96
Subtotal: $67.84
Minus $45 Groupon: $22.84
So after you count the $10 I paid for the Groupon, my grand total was $32.84 before tax! I'll also be receiving 4 free items over 4 weeks (starting May 9th), which I will eagerly post about as soon as I get them :)

My Target Beauty Bag finally arrived!
I know you all have seen these posts probably a million and one times by now, so I apologize! But I was really excited and kind of surprised when I received my Target beauty sample bag this week. When I didn't get it a few weeks ago when everyone else did, I figured either I didn't sign up for it in time (even though I thought I did), or it got lost in my apartment's mail room. I'm happy that I was still able to get it!
By the looks of other posts I've read, my beauty sample bag is the same. Here's a quick look inside (it's a Sonia Kashuk travel makeup bag, btw):
By the looks of other posts I've read, my beauty sample bag is the same. Here's a quick look inside (it's a Sonia Kashuk travel makeup bag, btw):
In my bag I received:
-Full-sized Neutrogena Naturals lip balm
-Trial-sized Nivea Express Hydration lotion
-Trial-sized Pantene Pro-V Flat to Volume shampoo
-Revlon Colorburst lip gloss sample in Hot Pink
-Fekkai Shea Butter moisturizing shampoo/conditioner samples
-Target beauty coupon booklet
The coupon booklet comes with all beauty-related coupons, and is what I was most excited for! I'm saving them to hopefully stack with other manufacturer's coupons I collect.
I'm loving the Nivea Express Hydration lotion. I absolutely loathe when lotion takes hours to absorb, and this does it quickly (hence the name!).
Did you get your Target beauty bag? How do you like what's in it?

Free shipping over $25 at Victoria's Secret!
Hey guys, I just wanted to give you all a heads up about an offer I just got an email about. Victoria's Secret is offering free shipping on any online orders over $25, now through Sunday the 23rd. They almost never do offers like this, so if you've been wanting to order anything online recently, now's the time! Unfortunately the eyeliners I talked about yesterday aren't on the website anymore, but they still have a lot of sales/clearance from the Semi-Annual Sale.
Have a great afternoon!

Nearly $100 worth of beauty products for $16.28!
After a heads-up from The Makeup Drawer about getting Rimmel stuff for cheap (thank you so much! :D), I headed to my local CVS to see if I could score any deals.
I rarely go to CVS, and just opened a new Extra Care card in the fall because I'd lost mine - so I was quite surprised when the coupon printer gave me $3.50 in ECBs based on my quarterly usage - I'd only used it once that I can remember, and the transaction was only $4! So I had that to my advantage, plus three $2 off Rimmel coupons I printed from their Facebook promo.
I didn't realize that the Rimmel stuff is usually quite expensive, but the real deal was that some of it was marked down to 75% off! So most of their items were in the range of $1.50 to $3. There were also 50% to 75% off stickers on things all over the cosmetics area (just required a hunt to find them all) making for some sweet deals.
Here's a breakdown of the things I bought:
Rimmel eyeshadow quad: $8.49 marked down to $2.07, minus $2 coupon = $0.07
Rimmel mascara (plus bonus eyeliner): $10.49 marked down to $2.62, minus $2 coupon = $0.62
Rimmel lip gloss: $6.49 marked down to $1.62, minus $2 coupon = FREE plus $0.38 overage!
Almay pure blends powder: $11.49 marked down to $2.87
Almay pure blends foundation: $15.99 marked down to $3.99
Revlon eyeshadow singles (I bought two): $5.79 marked down to $1.47
Sally Hansen Natural Beauty blush: $11.99 marked down to $2.99
Sally Hansen Natural Beauty lip gloss: $12.79 marked down to $3.19
Renpure Organics hair treatment: $6.99 marked down to $3.50 (the sign said it would be $5-something, so it was even cheaper than I expected!)
For an added bonus, the hair treatment came with a ticket for a mail-in rebate for the price you paid, so I'll get that $3.50 back! I also got $7 in ECBs back for the purchase of two Revlon products! So while my total was $16.28 ($17.26 with tax), you could say it cost me under $6 for everything! The cost of everything at the original retail price would have been $96.30!
CVS also started a "Beauty Club" program. They handed me a ticket that said 10% off (the lady saw me making laps around the beauty section), but when you present it at checkout, it prints out a 10% coupon at the bottom of your receipt for your next beauty purchase. It has to be used within 3 days of today, and it's not valid on sale items. So I most likely won't be using it. But I will attempt to print out a few more Rimmel coupons and get to CVS again before my ECBs expire!

Sweet deals at Kohl's!
I went to Kohl's the other day armed with coupons, $10 gift cards and Kohl's Cash! I mentioned before how my grandma (and all other residents of her senior center) gets these $10 cards in the mail, and she collected a bunch of them for us from ones people had thrown out. They seem to be sending these out more frequently now, like once a month! We also had $20 in Kohl's Cash from a previous purchase. With the 15% off coupon going around, and the "night owl" power hours I caught, I managed to get some awesome deals!
The $10 gift cards aren't stackable, meaning you can only use one per transaction, but you CAN stack them with percentage-off coupons, as well as Kohl's cash. The Kohl's employees don't seem to mind that customers had more than one card (they do come free in the mail, after all), although you still have to pay in separate transactions.
My first purchases: BOOTS!! There's no article of clothing I love more than boots. I wear boots as much as possible, which is about every day in the winter, starting in the early fall and going into late spring. I have tons of boots, and I can never resist buying more. And I got these for SO CHEAP! :D
Pair #1: Black motorcycle-style boots - SO brand "Blissful" - These are awesome because they look like tough boots, but they're faux fur-lined and made out of a suede-like material! They have a nice sturdy sneaker-like bottom so they're super comfy. I got the last pair in my size from the back room, so lucky!
Original price: $69.99
Power hours sale price: $18.99
Minus $10 card: $8.99
Minus 15%: $7.64!
Pair #2: Furry brown boots - SONOMA life + style "Katy" - These are sooo warm and toasty and no less than 10 people told me on the first day I wore them how how awesome they are! I love them! Like the others, they're quality made with a nice cushioned bottom, fur-lining, and a suede upper. I'm lucky to have found them at the power hours sale, because their regular sale price is more like $34.99.
Original price: $69.99
Power hours sale price: $23.99
Minus $10 card: $13.99
Minus 15%: $11.89!
I got this long "skinny" Candie's cardi on a whim: it's really super cute, but a little edgy with the studded pockets.
Original price: $44
Power hours sale price: $16.99
Minus $10 card: $6.99
Minus 15%: $5.94!
And while not nearly as exciting as boots or clothes, the reason I went to Kohl's was to look at their sheets. I have no decent sheets as I pretty much only use satin sheets, but they've been annoying me lately (by sliding the comforter off the bed 5 times a night) so I was looking for some nice quality 100% cotton ones, especially now it's so cold.
I found these 100% pima cotton luxury sheets, which are as soft as butter but carry a price tag of a whopping $119!!
But you know I certainly didn't pay that much! I had seen them on sale for $59.99 the previous week, but during the power hours sale they were reduced further to $50.99. I decided to use the $20 Kohl's cash in addition to a $10 card, which worked out like this:
Original price: $119
Power hours sale price: $50.99
Minus $20 Kohl's cash: $30.99
Minus $10 card: $20.99
Minus 15%: $17.84! (with tax, $18.91)
In total, I bought $302.98 worth of stuff for $44.38! It was nice to have a little shopping spree-like splurge without spending all that much!

Bath & Body Works stocking stuffer haul
Mom was looking for some small hand creams for stocking stuffers, so we popped into Bath & Body Works to see what we could find. We ended up with the above pile of goodies for only $20! Here's how it worked out.
The smaller sized items are usually $6 a piece. There were a few promotions running, including buy two get one free for Bliss Spa items (like the "Lay it on Thick" and "Shea it isn't so" in the above photo), but there was also a 3 for $10 promo running on some of the same items. Interesting, as 3 for $10 is obviously better than 3 for $12 (what the B1G1 would have been).
So all of the above items fell into the 3 for $10 promo. We only got 6 items, but then realized we had a $10 off $30 coupon. So why not get 3 more items to bump our total up for $30 and get them for free? We also had a coupon for a free item ($13 or less) with a $10 purchase.
After much debating, we settled on a Twisted Peppermint soap and lotion set for our free item - which was normally $16 but all gift sets were supposed to be 25% off. We were rudely told by the cashier that it was only gift sets in baskets (although the signs were posted everywhere, on sections were there were no baskets in sight), and that didn't count. So we quickly chose a replacement item - the mug filled with vanilla products, which was $12.50.
The total of the items if you paid full price (although I can't see how anyone would!) would have been $66.50, but we walked out with all of them for $20! I am disappointed I left the coupon for a free reindeer Pocketbac in the printer, which would have gotten me another free item, but oh well, maybe next time!

Black Friday Hauls! (Makeup, Bath/Body, Clothes)
Black Friday could very well be my new favorite day of the year. Almost better than Christmas- you just don't see these kinds of deals on a regular basis! And it wasn't until I started working in retail that I realized just how many sales go on.
So obviously I did a little shopping, first Friday morning at 3:30am with my cousins, and then Friday afternoon/today with my mom of course (she's my favorite person to go with!). It's just not the same by myself. This was the first year I woke up super early and braved the crowds, too. Let me just say it isn't worth it for me! My cousins and I stood in lines at Target and Kohl's that wrapped all the way around the stores. It was beyond insane, and the things I bought I could have gotten any other time. But hey, you live and learn. :)
Shopping Friday afternoon/today with my mom was the most fun. The clothes she bought for me as intentional Christmas presents, but then decided I could just have them now. Mom, you are seriously too good to me!
(I think it's because I'm home on break and have been gone all semester. She did the same thing when my sister was away at school!)
Anyway, here's everything I got (It looks like so much! I'm telling myself it's OK because I've been really strict with my purchases the last couple of months.. haha, oh, rationalization).
A few quick notes- I'm currently suffering from severely dry lips and heard good things about these Yes to Cucumber lip balms. My first impressions of it aren't the best, but I'm hopeful! Also, the NYC liquid eyeliner and Almay mascara are going in the trash- thankfully they were only $2 total from the dollar store. I used to love the Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer when I was younger, so I'm excited to try it again. And I'm LOVING the smell of the Secret deodorant/body spray! Usually I dislike "fresh" scents, but I'm a fan of the quality of these deodorants and Target had bonus packs of deodorants and body mists for only $3.99. This one is lovely. I used to use the "coco butter kiss" scent, but grew tired of it.

Target: (not pictured- Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation- I needed another!) Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer SPF 30, Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash scrub, Yes to Carrots Pomegranate lip butter, Secret Fresh Effects Cucumber Aloe deodorant/body spray (came as a set), Venus razor refills
Walgreens: Maybelline Mocha Velvet blush (on clearance for $2.99 and I used a $1 off coupon from redplum.com, making it only $2!)
Dollar Tree: NYC Deep Plum liquid eyeliner, Almay Pure Blends mascara, Maybelline Pink Halo Dream Mousse eyeshadow, Revlon Tempting Teal matte eyeshadowA few quick notes- I'm currently suffering from severely dry lips and heard good things about these Yes to Cucumber lip balms. Bath & Body Works: I haven't been to a Bath & Body Works in FOREVER! They don't have one near me in Chicago, so I was just so anxious to go shopping. I used my coupon for a free item up to $13 with a purchase of $10+, and got the Dark Kiss body lotion+spray. I bought these in the mini sizes when they first came out and I repeatedly get compliments when I wear them. I wanted the eau de toilette but didn't want to spend more money on perfume, because when I was at working at Victoria's Secret I bought...
(I forgot to take a picture, sorry!)
VS Shine Pink perfume! It was on sale for 50% off, so I only paid $15 after tax. I've loved this one ever since it first came out, but couldn't justify buying it. It has peach and tiare flower in it- a lovely fruity-floral.
Hollister: The leather jacket and ruffled cardigan are from here. I've steered clear of Hollister for years, and it wasn't until I somehow came across the website that I decided I needed to give it another shot. If it weren't for the logos splattered across half of the clothes I would have totally bought more! The jacket was a great deal, though- $50- half off of the regular price of $99.
Charlotte Russe: The jeans I got along with a skirt, lace top, and two pairs of tights, but last few are getting wrapped up for Christmas. :) I really needed a new pair of jeans, so I hope these last a fair while! Charlotte Russe had everything 25-50% off, so they were discounted a little.
The lace print headband I got from Target. They have a lot of cute, girly ones!
Whew! Thanks for reading, guys. Unfortunately I left my camera at school (I used my mom's), so no makeup swatches/pictures. I tried to change my mom's camera's settings but I just couldn't get it right.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving/shopping time! The weekend isn't over yet, though, and Cyber Monday is around the corner. And my bank account hasn't been totally emptied.... ;)

Small Target trip + pajama bonanza
Continued from my previous post!
We went to Target with a few things in mind, one of which was the Glade gift card promotion. Specific Glade items were on sale for $2.50 each, and if you bought 5, you got a $5 gift card! Some of the stuff was $4 and up regularly, so it was a good deal.
We had just bought a bunch of candles elsewhere, so we decided to try something new - the oil candle burners with their yummy new holiday scents! These little candle disks melt into oil to disperse the scent.
As you can see, we opened and used some immediately, before I could take a picture. We ended up with 4 refill packs and 1 burner (which came with 1 oil candle) in Bayberry Spice, French Vanilla, Apple Cinnamon, and Baked Magic.
All together it was $12.50, but I had a $1 off Glade Target coupon, as well as a $1.50 off manufacturer's coupon, making it $10 even for all 5 products. I probably could have done better and found more coupons, but it was spur of the moment, and I still got a great deal! I also got the $5 gift card, and gave it to Mom (who checked out behind me) to use on some other stuff we got (eco-friendly LCD Christmas lights and good stuff like that :D).
My other grand purchase:
I've had a $2 off Maybelline Eyestudio coupon for a while now, I've been waiting for the opportune moment to use it. This eyeshadow quad runs about $7.50 to $8 in my local stores. I was shocked to see at this Target (not one we usually go to) it was only $6.42! So I figured now was the time - and I got it for $4.42 with the coupon!
I also had a little pajama splurge, although not all at Target. On Target's printable coupon site, they had a $10 off 3 pajamas coupon. While it would be ideal to grab a bunch of clearance PJs and get them all for free, I am in dire need of winter PJs and am drowning in summer ones (the only ones on clearance). So we decided to split it up - I got one PJ set (which comes with a long-sleeved shirt, long pants AND shorts) for $19.99, Mom got a pair of PJ pants for $10, and we got another 3-set for someone as a Christmas present. It wasn't much savings, but $10 off is better than nothing! And the designs are sooo cute!
I got the rest of the PJs from Kohl's. My grandma had received several $10 gift cards in the mail (her apartment complex is right down the street from a Kohl's, so they send them out as promos - lucky!!) and gave them to us (super lucky!). The blue PJ set was $40, on sale for $24.99, I used one $10 gift card, making it $14.99, and then a 30% off coupon we got in the mail, making the set only $10.50!
The two shirts were actually just ladies' long-sleeved shirts, but they're 100% cotton and were only $7.99. So $15.98 for the two of them, minus a $10 gift card and the 30%, they came out to be $4.19 total, or less than $2.10 each! Score!

The Body Shop Joyous Sticker Event haul
I wasn't planning on going to The Body Shop this weekend, but when my mom proposed a spontaneous trip to the mall yesterday, I was all for it. I wanted to smell the new holiday scents and check them out, not thinking I was actually going to buy anything. Oh, how I was wrong!
One of the employees presented me with a sticker card upon entering. I had posted about this weekend's Joyous Sticker Event sale yesterday, but the full details weren't disclosed online. How it works was simple: you got a sheet of 9 stickers, sort of like a bingo card (all cards were the same). Every one had a different discount on it, so you could choose your own sales by sticking the stickers on whatever item you wanted. If you used all 9 stickers, you got your choice of one of three free gift sets worth over $50.
The stickers:
- Free moisturizer when you buy a cleanser
- 2 for $25 body butter (200 mL)
- 3 for $12 home fragrance oils
- 40% off any item
- 50% off any make up item
- Free 50 mL body butter with holiday gift set purchase
- Free conditioner when you buy a shampoo
- $12 any skin care travel kit
- Free fragrance shower gel when you buy any fragrance
I was shocked to see the buy any cleanser, get any moisturizer free sticker! I love the Nutriganics day cream but it never goes on sale and I've been hesitant to pay $22 for it. I currently use and love the tea tree cleanser, which is $11, so what a deal that was!
I wasn't planning on buying more than the cleanser/moisturizer, but as you can see from the photo of my haul, that didn't last long! I only really started using The Body Shop products about a year ago, so there's a lot I'm still unfamiliar with. After looking around and finding lots of fun stuff, things I could give as Christmas presents, and Mom wanting some things too, we ended up using 6 out of 9 stickers and filling our basket up. The ones I didn't use were the fragrance oils, fragrance, and 50% off makeup. One of the other fabulous deals was the Nutriganics travel set (usually $35) for only $12!
Of course then they told me about the Love Your Body club (a $10/year membership which gets you discounts, gifts and other specials), and since you get 10% off your purchases, I decided it was worth joining. I got about $7 off my purchase, making the card cost only $3 right off the bat.
All in total I spent about $80 after tax ($30 of it being Mom's) but we saved over $90! I'm almost tempted to go back and use the last three stickers, but the final gift set isn't in one of my favorite scents, so I think I can hold off. I already bought a ton of stuff I don't need, but it was such a fun sale, it was worth it :)

$30 worth of stuff at Harmon for $14.81!
I went to Harmon's today on a whim (like always!) and saved 50% with some chance sales and a couple coupons!
The Freeman's Organic stuff was all on price cut from $6.99 to $4.98! I love their moisturizer and face mask, so I picked up the face wash and scrub to try. Harmon is one of the few stores that carries this brand, so I'm glad to see it on sale.
Kushyfoot is a brand I've heard a lot about recently but never saw in stores before. It looks like they just brought a stock in, and some of it was on clearance! The socks were marked down to $1.78, and although I'm not sure what the original price was, their other socks were $4 to $7.
I had a $5 off $10 Wet n Wild products from All You magazine, so I picked up my favorite powder and some awesome new sparkly nail polish ($1.78 each). They also have these limited edition eyeshadow pallets. I certainly don't need any more eyeshadow, but I'm a sucker for limited edition things, and I needed something else to push my total over $10 (and didn't need another powder, I have several stockpiled).
It turns out that Harmon has a weird coupon policy. They've always been different, I've noticed, because they can't take manufacturer's coupons off the total price, and rather price adjust an item's price down. So when I gave them the $5 off coupon, they couldn't take it off the total of the W'n'W products, but rather took it off one item (if I had a $5+ item, it would have taken the whole $5 off) . Both the powder and eyeshadow were $4.49, but they couldn't take that extra $0.51 off. So I lost $0.51, but I'm not gonna complain about it.
I also used a $5 off $15 Harmon coupon. The total of everything if I had paid full price would have been around $30, but after the coupons and sales, my total was only $14.81 ($15.62 after tax).
Can't wait to try out all my new stuff! :)

Free t-shirt, lipgloss, and shipping at Victoria's Secret!
I just read about this sweet Victoria's Secret deal at Pirates of the Supermarket and immediately took advantage of it!
This cute rib-knit sweater is only $12. Add it (or any sweater you'd like to purchase - code is only for sweater purchases) to your cart and use the code SHIPWARMVS for free shipping! On top of that, you can get a free bombshell t-shirt (regularly $26) with the code BOMBTEE. There's also a code for a free lip gloss set: LIPGIFT10.
VS allows up to three codes at a time, so use those 3 and walk out with a sweater, t-shirt, and lip gloss set for $12 shipped! Or if you have an Angel's card, you can use the code SECRET10 to get a rewards card of $10, $50, $100, or even $500! Since the card is a minimum of $10, it's like getting everything for almost free! The rewards card will be delivered December 1st, just in time for holiday shopping.
I went with the sweater (in pink!), lip gloss set, and rewards card, since I have a VS Angel's card. It works like a charm and I got everything shipped for $12.

NOTD: Sally Hansen Flirt+Disco Ball
ULTA has a lot of good deals on nail polish this week! And not just Sally Hansen, however the Complete Salon Manicures are 2 for $10, Insta-Dri 2 for $6, and these Xtreme Wears are 2 for $3. Um, I had to get some! I really wanted a fun layering color and something dark and vampy, so I went with Disco Ball and Flirt. I decided to layer them- I think I'm liking the effect, although I have to admit this pairing is so not me. Vampy colors aren't even me, typically, but I forced myself out of my comfort zone. :)
It's hard to see the true color of Flirt with the shimmery Disco Ball over it, and in my pictures it shows up almost black. It's really a deep burgundy with the tiniest shimmers in it- you can barely tell they're there, but they keep it from being just a plain creme. And can you see the prettiness that is Disco Ball? The glitters in it almost show up blue/green over Flirt. It's really fun and the clear base means you can put it over any color for a fun, sparkly manicure. Love it!
Edit-
I completely forgot to add that this manicure is two coats of Flirt, the burgundy shade, topped with one coat of Disco Ball. They apply just as flawlessly as my other Xtreme Wear polishes (With exception of Mystic Lilac which I found to be a little "gloppy" and thick, but still workable) and are opaque with two coats.
Have you guys taken advantage of that great nail polish deal at ULTA? Do you have any of these colors?
