Beauty Haul For The Day!

I totally did a little tiny bit of shopping today!
It has been a while since I have, so I guess it's okay...
AND 2 of my items were completely free :)

I had two coupons I got in the mail for these free products...

Now if any of your read my previous post on the L'Oreal Sublime Mousse Color, you'd know I was pleased :) About a month ago John Frieda had a survey going on their Facebook, and I completed it, so I got this free!

Also, on Facebook, I entered the free product giveaway thingy, and I got chosen to get a coupon for any new Suave Professionals. I have severely thin, limp hair, so I am trying this one.

These are my new nail polishes :)

Sinful Colors:Black on Black, Claire's: I luv the 80's,
Claire's: Black Crackle, Sally Hansen Crackle: Fuchsia Shock

AND since I got my fake nails off, I decide to try this....

Hope it works :)

Hope you enjoyed my little haul...haha

Hair Care Haul & More!

After my nice long walk/jog at the park I stopped at my local CVS to pick up some hair color and ended up with a few other things....

Aveeno "Living Color" Shampoo and Conditioner for Fine Hair
Aveeno "Living Color" Shine Glaze
Pantene "Beautiful Lengths" Smoothing Balm
L'Oreal Sublime Mousse in #30 Pure Darkest Brown
Milani Liquif'eye Eyeliner Pencil in Black 01

I will have a blog post dedicated to my hair coloring experience.
I have never tried a "mousse" dye before.

I have also never tried the Aveeno hair care line, so I shall let you know how that is! The Pantene "Beautiful Lengths" collection has by far been my favorite. I can honestly say it helped my hair stay stronger, and in fact my hair did get longer (before I cut it!)

I bought the Milani eye pencil because of a Youtube video by Vintage or Tacky!

Well blog to you all later! Thanks so much for following!
I do have a personal blog - -> http://www.beautifullyfrantic.blogspot.com

Revlon Age Defying SPF 25 concealer in light

Luckily for me, the CVS beauty clearance sale is still going on!  There aren't any CVS's where my parents live, so while I was staying with them over break I couldn't take advantage of the first days of the sale.  But that's OK, because when I got back to school- and CVS country- I was able to stop in.  One of the (two) things I purchased was the Revlon Age Defying concealer in the shade light, which contains an SPF of 15.   I've heard nothing but rave reviews about this stuff so I was excited to see it 75% off!

Revlon touts this as a "restorative eye cream concealer".  It contains Botafirm which the packaging doesn't really explain, but after a little research online I found that it's for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and also contains vitamins.  It comes with 0.37oz of product, and I got the lightest shade, Light (ha, really?).

The consistency is very creamy, and thinner than I'd expect it to be seeing as it's in a tube.  I'd say it's in between your standard liquid concealer and cream concealer.  You only need a small little dab of this as it's very pigmented (you can see from my swatches below).  I love this, because it means my tube will last me a long time.  The pigmented formula means it has good coverage, as opposed to some liquid concealers I've tried (I just recently realized the difference the kind of concealer can make- and that each kind serves its own purpose.  Thicker cream concealers are better for pimples, while lighter/thinner formulas are typically better for larger areas, spots, under eyes).

Because this is more specifically for under eyes, I first tried it there.  I used to not conceal under my eyes but recently I've had just... terrible dark spots (like right in the tearduct area, if you know what I mean).  Probably due to the fact that I haven't been sleeping much lately, but that's college for ya!  Anyway, I find this works about average at covering the darkness- it doesn't cover as well as my Maybelline Double Face Perfecter concealer, but I like it better despite that for other reasons:
- it doesn't cake/settle into the delicate skin area
- it melts into my skin instead of sitting on top of it
- it leans yellow so it conceals redness well
- it lasts all day with the rest of my face makeup (foundation/powder)
- you don't need much because of how pigmented it is, so the little bottle will last you a long time

If your CVS still has this in stock, I think it's a steal at a little over $3.  I recommended it to my friend and she is in love with it, too.

Have you guys tried this?  (I think I'm pretty late to the party with trying it)  How's your weekend going?  I have piles and piles of work to get done and errands to run.  So.. hopefully I'll talk to you soon.  :)

Finally- A (mini) Haul & Swatches!

I'm so excited to finally have enough new products to (just barely) qualify as a haul!  I've only bought random makeup products here and there since being at school, so this has been long-awaited.  And I must clarify that I'm sure to many of you this isn't even "haul" material, but for how cheap I am it's the closest I get to an actual haul, haha.  Each item I'm really excited to finally have.

I got the makeup products from ULTA (as a little birthday present to myself!), and the body spray from CVS.
I will being doing individual reviews of the three makeup products, but I've included some swatches for now.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends blush in Fresh 20, NYX eyeshadow palette in Champagne & Caviar, NYX single eyeshadow in Flamingo, Essence of Beauty body spray in Dreamsicle

NYX Flamingo, Champagne & Caviar

Swatches of the palette and Flamingo (Click to enlarge!)

Swatch of Flamingo
I wanted the Champagne & Caviar palette for the longest time, but I hadn't seen it in person (There are no ULTA stores where my parents live).  When I first went to the ULTA here I wasn't in love with it, but this week NYX products are BOGO 1/2 off so I decided to just buy it.  The pigmentation looks lovely so far!
As for the Flamingo single eyeshadow, the color is really understated but just gorgeous, in my opinion (although I am a sucker for purples with gold sheen).  The pigmentation isn't crazy, but I think it will make an awesome all over lid color for when I want a little color.

Neutrogena blush in Fresh

The only reason I got this was because it was on clearance for $5 and some change, and I've always passed by these in drugstores and been curious.  Speaking of clearance, ULTA currently has a bunch on clearance!  I was quite surprised.
This is a pretty vibrant pink in the pan, but it's buildable and sheer- one layer will give you a nice subtle pink, and another will be more of a pop.  I have a review in the works and I'll explain more then.

Essence of Beauty Dreamsicle body spray
The darn security label wouldn't come off!  That's so not cool in my opinion.
This smells like a 50/50 bar, though, it's yummy- I really wanted the Pixie Tangerine body spray, but the EoB displays are so picked over at my CVS locations and I can't find it.  This was my second favorite.  I used my $3 in Extra Bucks that I got via email for my birthday- thank you CVS!

My total cost for all of this was only around $18 (although I bought it over the course of two days).  For the makeup, the NYX products were BOGO 1/2 off like I said, and then I printed the coupon off ulta.com for $3.50/$10.00.  The blush was on clearance, and then the EoB body spray was originally $5.99 but after my $3 in Extra Bucks I only paid $3.00 and some change.

Thanks for reading!  <3
