Making Your Pieces Last Longer

First off: I love my life to be as organized as possible so I have all of my hangers matching. They are all the same kind and color. I suggest everyone do this so that your closet is just prettier and it makes it easier to see everything.
There are some things that should be hung and some that should never be hung. But first, if you take anything to a dry cleaner you need to immediately take it out of the bag and hang it "(plastic traps harmful chemicals, which will eat away at fabrics.)" - Lauren Conrad. Normal tees and tops and jackets and dresses can all be hung. If you buy a sweater--fold it! When you hang a sweater it stretches the shoulders and over time is not nice anymore.
I would put sweaters and jeans on a shelf folded. Lauren Conrad says to fold them starting with the bulkiest on the bottom so the pile doesn't "teeter." And also put some cedar chips in between sweaters to keep moths away.
Try to keep things in drawers that you do not really need to see ie: socks, underwear, pajamas, tanks, workout clothes.
