How to start (or add to) a new wardrobe!

The starting point of building your new wardrobe will be different for everyone. I have been building and replacing mine for years. Unless you got some money in the bank..... it will take you a while. Have fun with it and enjoy shopping.
To begin this process, consider your lifestyle. Are you in school? Do you have a career? Are you a mom on the go? These are all things to think about because it will decide what you should be buying first and foremost.
If you are a student about to graduate you need to think about the jobs you will be interviewing for and buy proper attire for that. But you can also buy some fun weekend outfits as well. So start by buying that perfect pair of jeans and getting some nice tops to go with them. And for interviews: invest in a nice suit. (A modern pencil skirt with a modern matching blazer would be great). Then find some weekend/date dresses and some great heels!
If you have a career already and you want a promotion...DRESS FOR THE PROMOTION not the job you have! This will help your bosses see that you take pride in your job and you are serious about it. Invest in a three piece suit ladies! A modern one of course, that comes with a skirt, pants, and blazer. These will probably all have to be tailored so they fit just right. But do not wear these plainly. Put a pop of color with them! Example: if you have a grey skirt with a grey blazer put a dark purple silk blouse underneath the blazer with a dark green necklace or bracelet or earrings and either a nude or metallic gold heel! Also invest in a nice handbag to go with your new outfits! You deserve it.
Mom on the go? This is so fun! Have fun with your wardrobe! I understand you are nervous to get new clothes because you "want to be comfortable." I promise, if you are buying the right fit of clothes, they are comfortable! For moms: start with finding your perfect jean! Then find great blouses to go with them with fitted blazers and cardigans to go over your blouse. Then move to the shoes: wedges are a great way to escape a heel and they are comfy enough to grocery shop in, even with little ones running around. Flats are a fantastic option as well. Get fun colors and patterns in shoes! Then go to the jewelry and get fun colors for that too. And also get a nice handbag! Either get a really nice one to go with everything orrrr buy a bunch of less expensive ones in cute colors. Please do not forget about your husband in this process... get some great "babysitter dresses" which of course means you will be needing a babysitter when you put that dress on! Plus your hubby will be very pleased knowing he has such a hot wife to go home to everyday!

I realize this is a lot of information to take in, and I will lay it down so it makes more sense in future posts. Remember: I have said this before and I will say it again... You do NOT want to match, you want to go. And another good point is gold and silver GO together! You are allowed to have gold shoes with silver jewelry! Oh and one more thing: no matter what size you really are, wearing clothes that fit you just right will make it look like you lost about 15-20 pounds!

If you have anyyy questions before i go into further detail in different posts let me know! I am more than happy to help! Tell me what kind of attire you need and I will find you the perfect outfits!
