life at summer house

On Saturday after work me & my man left to summer house my mom had rented for a week. The journey from Helsinki to there took only little bit over one hour.

Our summer house! From without it looks simple but inside it's the comfiest and cosiest summer house I have ever been!

Picture taken up from loft. Really cosy in my opinion~ I felt really relaxed there. I loved enjoying ourselves with no hurry to anywhere!

The loft where my family slept. Me and my man slept in another room. But that summer house had the comfiest beds, too!! Seriously the bed was so heavenly that I just wanted to sank on that bed and sleep there rest of my life ahahaha!

Cottager outfit ;D

The house was next to sea. This picture is taken at first night. So beautiful!

Next night we went to row very late at night, there was full moon and sky was sooo beautiful with stars. I didn't take my camera with me because I was afraid it would drop in water so I have no pictures from that night view ;_;

Food on cottage is great, too! We also ate a lot of fresh berries we picked from bushes.

Swimming beach! I don't like to swim, though, and the water is always too cold for me. I just love to hang on beach enjoying sun.

Hahah. I take only few photos of my there as I thought I don't really like post photos of myself when looking like that hohoho~

I mostly took photos of those beautiful sea scenes. So peaceful and harmonius! Aaaah life is so goood~~

We were meant to leave on Sunday evening but then we thought we could stay one more night there. So we came back to Helsinki early this morning.

I took this photo at 7AM this morning before leaving. Never have seen such a blue sky!

It was nice to have a little holiday to just relax. Soon I'm off to work, byes!

GAL Beach Party!

Yesterday we had beach party on Hietaniemi beach! As I already wrote in my last entry, many thanks to all who attended. Yesterday was really great and lot of fun! I hope everyone had fun there. Weather was perfect that day, too!

I expected more people to attend but it was allright with this amount of gals, too! It was easier to talk and get to know everyone in smaller group ^.^ But are gals in Finland getting lazy to attend gal meetups anymore? One year back so many gals came to meetings but for example last time we had picnic meetup but there weren't that much people. I would like to still keep those gal meetups going on because it was always so much fun to have big meetings with other gals. Draw yourself up!

Here's my look for beach.

Cowboy hat Accessorize
Bikini Yumetenbo
Earrings GinaTricot
Bracelets Seppälä & KappAhl
Sandals Yumetenbo

I got this new bikini from Yumetenbo last week! I ordered it specially for this party. This is my favourite bikini ever ♥

Sandals are also new from Yumetenbo.

Playing some beach games haha! 8D Too bad the photo is so small sized you can't see your laughing faces that well XD

And this photo is just hilarious XD Laura's hat dropped and I look like I'm gonna fall.

Water was cooling in such a hot weather :D

Our masterpiece! Building sand castle. First we tried to build shibuya 109 tower but earthquake destroyed over and over again :'D

We also hid a treasure in sand. One will be very happy finding it :'''D

Goose army coming. There were a lot of birds and I hate those. Especially seagulls. One time big group of gulls attacked in our place while we were building sand castle. Ewww.

All the time I was afraid a one would poo on me. When we left the beach, I noticed that there was gull poo on my bag! Eeeeeew too distusting!! I washed the bag right away I got home and my hands like hundreds of times XD

Beach was kinda empty when we arrived there around 12PM. After a couple of hours the beach was full of people!

Ryu and me, leaving to home. My navel is so strange, I think I should get a navel piercing to hide it XD

Ehehehee

Tackling summer trends: favorite summer blushes!

Hey guys!  Today I'm continuing with my summer trends series with a post on my top blushes for the summertime.  Most of these follow the peachy-pink trend that seems to always be in style during the warmer months, but I also threw in two others that rank high on my list.
I used to feel really "meh" towards wearing blush.  I was shy towards using much color at all, fearing it would make me look too much like a clown; I'd end up using really sheer blushes that you could hardly even tell I was wearing.  Now, though, I've come to realize why blush is so important!  It's one of the easiest ways to perk up your face and make you look younger.  And, of course, you have to find the right way to apply it for your face shape along with getting the color you like best.  I used to think peachy pinks looked terrible on me, but I've found that ones with enough pink in them can be very flattering!  Since I think you can also wear other colors during the summer, I included a shimmery bronze and vivid lilac shade in this post as well- together, they all scream "summer" to me!  (PS- I have quite a bit of these because I rotate the blush I wear daily.  I'm sure a lot of you can relate :)

Clockwise from upper left: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends blush in Fresh 20,  Hard Candy Fox in a Box blush in Spicy & Sweet, Darling Girl Cosmetics blush in Yes, Virginia!, DCG blush in Paradise Pink

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends sheer highlighting blush in Fresh
This is a blush I use when I'm doing a brighter pink or purple eye look and I want a soft, cool wash of color on my cheeks.  It's soft yet bright, so it creates a nice balance for vivid eyes.  I actually didn't use this much until recently, when I started playing around a bit more with color.  It's very sheer so I don't recommend it if you prefer more pigmented blushes.

You can read my full review of this here.  I usually swirl together the pinker shades, avoiding the brown, but all the brown does really is mute the final color and make it more peach (as in it doesn't make the color muddy).  This can be pretty bold for me- and the color leans pretty deep- but in small amounts it's gorgeous.

Darling Girl Cosmetics blush in Yes, Virginia!
This isn't as WHOA PURPLE as it looks in the jar or in my swatches, first of all!  It's subdued and pretty on cheeks and I love the finish.  Like Paradise Pink, it's almost-matte with a tiny amount of sheen.  I love this for a cooler-toned blush, perfect with neutral or purple/pink/violet eyes.

Darling Girl Cosmetics blush in Paradise Pink
On my NC20ish skin, this gives a really natural and flattering look- like you're wearing blush, but it's not in your face.  It's more on the peachy side with less pink, but its finish (same as Yes, Virginia!) makes it natural.  I will probably buy this in a full size the next DGC order I make.  I love it!

Clockwise from upper left: ELF Studio Contouring Blush/Bronzer, ELF Studio Golden Bronzer, ELF Studio blush in Twinkle Pink

ELF Studio Contouring Blush/Bronzer, blush side
This has been a long-time favorite of mine, despite my "meh" feelings towards glittery blush.  The soft color makes it more tolerable, I think.  This is pretty orange for what I normally gravitate towards, but I actually love this a lot.  It's also perfect in combination with the contouring bronzer (who would have thought..).

ELF Studio Golden Bronzer
No I STILL haven't finished this yet!  I purchased this at the beginning of last summer, but having used it so many times I was pretty sure it would be gone by now (and since I hit pan on it several months ago).  When I'm in the mood for a shimmery bronzer, this is what I use.  It's light in color and the shimmer isn't chunky, so it gives my face a really nice "glow".  A little on the cheekbones, temples, and nose looks wonderful.

ELF Studio blush in Twinkle Pink
This is a new one, and it's not the best quality blush, but the color is really pretty.  I should note that if you have the Studio Contouring blush/bronzer, the blush color is pretty similar, just a little more orange-toned.  This one has more pink in it, but as you can see in my swatches below, they're very close in color AND finish (same type of gold glitter).  However, Twinkle Pink is much more powdery, more so than my other Studio blushes.  It's a gorgeous peachy pink for summer, though!

Swatches:

L-R with flash: DCG Yes, Virginia!, ELF Studio Contouring Blush/Bronzer (blush), ELF Studio Twinkle Pink, Hard Candy Spicy & Sweet, DCG Paradise Pink, Neutrogena Fresh, ELF Studio Golden Bronzer

Hopefully this shows the sparkle/glitter a little better!

Hope you guys enjoyed this!  My next post will be my June favorites (I don't have too many), and then I have a few photo tutorials in the works.  Thanks for reading, like always. :)

Midsummer in Turku

On Midsummer Eve I traveled to Turku, the city where Jae lives! I stayed at her place for a couple of days. Here are things packed and ready to go! ;D So much pink, white and brown..

Oh by the way.. This post will be super photo spam. I don't know how that happened XD Because we really didn't take much photos. Not as much as usually we take when we hang out together. Here's almost 30 photos in this post now! O.O Hmm~ Maybe it's probably just my own camwhoreing but oh well.. XD

Arrived in Turku! Getting ready to outside take some photos. Jae trolling on background ehehe :-D

Soft focus~~

Turku city!! This is view from Jae's window 8'D Friday was pretty nice and warm day.

Finally we were ready to go out. It was nice to visit some other city that I don't know very well!

Outfits snaps! Loved the pink flowers on background. Flowers spelled a word "Turku" hehe :'D

Shirt ONLY
Skirt & belt Fiorella
Bag Fiorella
Cancan hat Lindex
Sandals Yumetenbo
Bracelet H&M
Necklace Cawaii

I think I use that hat way too often D: I'm like always wearing it in my photos.

Night view from window! Midsummer when the Sun doesn't go down at all. It looks kinda dark still O.O

Okay but what we did most of the time was...

EAT!!! Eat, eat and more eat.

We planned to take photos of everything we ate but we kinda forgot. Besides those we ate chips, ice cream, french fries, mayonnaise, more soda and more escalloped macaroni, noodle soups etc etc.. Can't even remember it all.

On Saturday we just hanged at home without changing our pajamas or brushing our hair XD We watched a lot of movies! Practised some dance (lol if you saw it..), were on computer, played games.. Just were so ugly, fat and sweaty all day :'D But it was much fun!

On Sunday I left back to home. *sad face*
I think my make-up looks nice in this picture. Though I'm looking sad here ahaha.

More happy face here!

Before I left, we had to camwhore more 'cause we didn't do it at all on Saturday.

Jae took me to the railway station and zomg I bought even more candies. In a train I was thinking about how much I have really eaten. It started to disgust me, eww! XD

So I started a diet now. It's 4th day. I think I've been doing pretty well.

Anyways, thanks Jae for a great Midsummer weekend! ♥ Let's have a healthy weekend next time, all right? :'D
