I Hauled..Again

I have a problem, and I'll readily admit it. I have set myself a challenge, no shopping unless for Christmas presents, until after the party season. Wish me luck because I will need it.

Make Up Forever Rock For Ever Liners

If you follow me on twitter (joolie18) you will already know about my lust for these. Initially on my Christmas list I couldn't help buying them on my recent shopping splurge. I've always wanted one as their waterproof, and now I have five. Delirah!

Laura Mercier Rose l/s and Pink Diamond l/g

The Laura Mercier obsession has intensified, told you I'd go back. I managed to be good and only buy two products. Hell, they are expensive though. The lipstick and lipgloss were each 27euro/£22. So worth it though, their stunning colours. The camera doesn't do them justice, they are much brighter and the quality is amazing!

Elf Cool Coral and Seduction l/s

I talked about these in my latest YT video, check it out HERE!

For Someone as Pale as a Ghost..

I've dabbled with fake tans over the past few years, but quite frankly, have never been bothered to keep reapplying. It smells, it streaks, it doesn't show up, it goes orange or it washes away they second you hop in the shower.

I hate fake tan.

So why do I have so much of it? I was looking around my room to get inspiration for my next post when I realised I have so many (the ones in the picture are possibly only half of what I own). I have decided to set myself a little challenge, I'll start wearing fake tan for a bit and see if it makes me change my opinion towards it. Is my attitude towards it completely wrong? I'm beginning to think so. And I'm sick of being pale. So Challenge Orange (well, hopefully not) has been set in motion with my quest to find the perfect fake tan. I love St Moriz, but it has its downsides too.

St Moriz - Possibly the best I've come across so far. A cheap knock-off of its big brother/sister St Tropez, it lasts a good while on my skin. The only difficulty is that it has to be applied quickly to the skin as it can skain if not rubbed in. Fast.
Soltan Beautiful Bronze Mousse - Again a mousse (I'm a mousse girl :) ). Can be slightly streaky and the colours a bit off, doesn't stay on as long as you would want.

Loreal Sublime Bronze - I used this for ages a while ago. But when its fading off I look like I have some hideous skin disease. Lasts well enough and is a nice colour, think the skin has to be in perfect condition though as any dry patches show up immediately.

Garnier Body Summer - I have loads of these, the buildable everyday types; Johnsons etc. Hate them. After a few days the colour looks like kind of green and sick. Hardly natural.
Rimmel Instant Sun Shimmer - Instant + Shimmer + Rain = 'Nuff said.

What fake tan do you wear?

I Don't Love It

Enter my MAC 100 Followers Giveaway!

I'm not that hard to please.

And I love Sleek. Their eyeshadow palettes are some of my favourites. But..

I bought Sleek's Blush in Rose Gold a few weeks ago and was excited at the prospect of it being a dupe to Nars Orgasm. I haven't tried the Nars version but if this is anything to go by I don't want to. I don't mind shimmer. It can make me happy at times. But this is so shimmery and just doesn't suit me. Having naturally "flushed" cheeks (ie. red) I try to combat this as best I can, but this Sleek blush makes me look like I've been running a marathon. And a long one at that. This probably suits everyone else, but with my complexion, I just have to give it a miss!

I also purchased the Face and Body Highlighter in Peach Shimmer, which is the lightest shade (hence the pale Irish skin). It looked so promising on the website and even when it was delivered to my door I felt a sense of kiddish excitement. Complete disappointment. Although it has a lovely texture, I would need to have lashings of fake tan on to wear this. And I'm not that pale - I don't see how it can be the lightest shade. It almost comes across as a gold eyeshadow (like Amber Lights). Either way, it doesn't come out the way it looks or the way I expected. Hmph.

On the brightside the Sleek Nocturnal Kajal liner (what looks like a tampon) is a new fave! Have you tried these out?
